I have fond memories of the Rico Harbour level. Probably my favorite SMS level.

Quit whining about the game being difficult. Just admit you've grown old and now suck at more gamez than you did 10 years ago.

I wish I could summon infinitely spawning cyclones outside your house.

whomever designed that caged sprite in the Yellow cage needs to be dumped at the bottom of a well. He can climb out two thirds of the way before we kick him back down to the bottom. Whoever thought infinity cyclones to blow you off was a good idea?! ASSHOLES!

I did not remember the cyclones.  Fuck them.

I loved that level. I discovered a shortcut and can get that Shine in about 5 minutes.

Took me about thirty, but I had a crew of kids picking on me. "Ha, ha, you fell again."

This game can go fuck itself. I keep hitting brick walls in every level with the fluddless sections. There are weird physics at play, it wouldn't happen in Galaxy. It's ball crushingly difficult at times. I have no idea how I got all the stars when it came out. And there's definitely some weird input lag when I press jump.

You bounce off tiny inclines and inexplicably fall to your death. You can't even move Mario in mid air without the FLUDD. So unless your jump is 100% perfect, you're coming off that edge. From what I can tell there are no shadows in the Mario Galaxy like sections which make depth perception hard. And no mid-point flags to save once you pass super difficult sections?

I think my love of Pilotwings 64, especially the jetpack missions, made FLUDD much easier for me to master.

My 3D All-stars was finally delivered this morning. Of course I'm at work now and can't play it until this evening. Can't wait! Grinning

You must be a pervert who enjoys pain and suffering. I went back to Mario 64, it's camera is fairly janky but the game is still so great. My memory gets pinged and I'm staggered how I remember things from over 20 years ago like looking up into the sun. Or breaking the corners off a wall.

Had a surreal moment on Jolly Roger Bay swimming. Tears started welling up and I got goosebumps. It gave me this warm feeling from childhood and reminded me of how so many happy memories are tied to what we played growing up. My 5 year nephew has become hooked on Mario, who knows, 23 years later he might get the same feeling playing Mario Odyssey?
Meanwhile I have bigger problems, I can't get the eel to swim out the ship? Is it just me or is the game bugged or something?

I just swam in front of him a couple of times then swam a little bit away and he came out.

My speculation is that this is more about gamespass than it is about exclusives.
