The fires in Australia are all over the news here. Stay safe down there. Also, don't burn all the koala's!

This is an excellent documentary on the GTA series. In fact this channel has the best gaming docs I've ever seen. It's about an hour but well worth it. He even goes into DMA Design's old prototypes & N64 games like Body Harvest.

Is the Outer Worlds worth a purchase at its current price or should I wait on a price drop?  I've read it takes less than fifteen hours to complete which is surprising.  I'm debating between purchasing either The Outer Worlds or Death Stranding.

Finished Bloodborne the other night, what a great game. This is definitely my favorite FromSoft game out of them all. The setting, atmosphere, and bosses are all so good. And it's amazing how many people are still playing this, 5 years later. Most of the time it's very easy to get someone to join your game & team up for some demon slaying. A testament to how good the game is.

My only complaints are

  • Once you find a save lamp, you should be able to fast travel to any other unlocked spot from whatever lamp you're at. Why do I need to go back to the Hub, THEN travel somewhere else?
  • Figuring out how to access the DLC was retarded. How's anyone supposed to know you have to pick up a key, then travel to an obscure spot & get grabbed by an invisible enemy?

It took longer for me to complete and I still didn't finish it.

It could take 15 hours if you choose a low intelligence character and you know what you're doing.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're just very uninformed. But if you are this uninformed, why comment? Particularly when people have been killed and houses are already being damaged in north Melbourne a month away from peak Bushfire season, not to mention the fucking smoke everyone south of Queensland has had to breathe on and off since this shit show started.

I thought the fact that I said "I wonder how bad it really is" made it obvious that I was uninformed. Was actually hoping you or Aspro would respond with some info. Sorry I commented.

lol. my cohost disagrees!  I've become so used to constant smoke and dust since about August it's old hat to me. My daughter wakes us up every night coughing. Thanks for your concern Edge, it's seriosu, but I've taken it in stride as part of the worst drought in my regions's history. My rain fall the last two yeasrs is less than a third of the average rainfall, and I rely on what falls from the sky for water for my household, and my cattle. You guys have seen photo's of my place before, when it looks like something out of Lord of the Rings, now it looks like Mad Max. It certainly adds ot the depression.

It's been overprinted, hold off for discounts. Won't be long.

The smoke's made it to New Zealand and is apparently blocking sunlight in some places. I wouldn't know from personal experience, though, as it's completely bypassed Auckland.

Perfect solution, set up the Thunderdome and have people fight. Have people bet on the outcome and reap the reward. Also you need a Tina Turner wig.

Go Fire Emblem: Three Houses for Christmas and am totally hooked. So many different ways to approach improving the party that it'll definitely be worth going back through on a harder difficulty because there's no way I'm optimizing right now and it hasn't been too difficult.

A really nice feature is that instead of letting you save after every move, you can reverse time up to a certain number of times per battle. So when you run a fight for 20 minutes then screw up and lose someone, you can rewind to a certain point in the past round as a do-over and not have to restart, but since it's limited to can't constantly exploit it for everything.

---

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobile

That's a feature I find can make racing games a much more relaxing experience, but also kinda ruin their flow. Sounds like it fits Fire Emblem surprisingly well!

Also, Gagan can't access the gaming forum, including by opening it in a new tab; also says it's the same regardless of browser. Don't know more details than that.

Omfg just read this thread on Resetera complaining about BOTW lightning storms: "Fuck these things. I put my weapons down during a storm, they got scattered fucking everywhere, I moved too far away and no all of them are gone. Like six shields, weapons, and bows are fucking gone and I’ve got jack shit but some bone club that’s about to break. I’m having trouble having fun now knowing I have to work my way back up to that with whatever shitty weapons I find. Fuck this game right now"

Same lightning complain guy: "You know I actually discovered you can unequip things like two weeks ago. Then came back to the game today and I guess I fucking forgot. Now my horse is dead too."
