I think Retro was working on another game and they're now far enough along were they can take a lot of the team off to focus on Metroid.

I think they actually were working on it since December because in December Retro got a bunch of new employees so that must be when they started on Metroid Prime 4.

I wonder if Retro still has it in them. They are far from the same team that made the original trilogy.

A lot of the design philosophy in Tropical Freeze was similar to their design philosophy in Metroid Prime.

How the environment told the story in each level.

So they gave it to Namco and they ballsed it up, who would have thunk? Now they give it back to the team who should have been making it in the first place. This is pretty humiliating. I cannot remember ever seeing a public video apology like this in the past. It's bananas.

Now its not going to come out for another 3 years. Totally waste of time.

Boy I really wanted that game on the Switch.  Maybe a HD version of the trilogy will arrive soon.

So what has Retro been working on for the past 3 or 4 years then? surely there demo wasn't the only thing they've spent time on since tropical freeze came out.

Thats the mystery, was retro's game canceled too. If so what an epic clusterfuck all around. I cant believe they screwed this up so bad. Another 3+ years.

It might be announced soon.

I think it is at a point now where they can take people away from it to focus on Metroid Prime 4.

I’ve been playing a lot of Monster Hunter World this weekend and enjoying the one year anniversary celebration. Mostly been doing Arch Tempered Kulve Taroth runs with a pretty satisfying number of successful runs. Nice getting all that wonderful loot especially when you get some incandescent versions of weapons you use. Tried fighting Behemoth from the Final Fantasy crossover. Pretty cool and really tough monster to fight. Really love this game and am very much looking forward to that dlc coming up.

So what have you Hunters been playing?
