I stopped caring about who 'wins' E3 years ago. I think I'm most interested in what MS will show. They've come under a lot of fire from consumers over their lack of quality exclusives and from retail over innitiatives like XBone Game Pass. Also, as things stand they could end up in third place in terms of consoles sold, if Switch keeps its momentum. MS needs a good showing the most.
Sony will show a lot of great looking games, but I'm not expecting anything really surprising from them. Unless they show some mayor first party VR support, but I don't see that happening.
Nintendo will be interesting. They had a stellar first year, but so far 2018 isn't looking all too great. I feel that Pokémon Lets Go is the most exciting thing I know of at the moment. Smash is cool, but all smash games are very samey, it's hard to get excited over them anymore. I haven't read the leaked document of what games they'll be covering, but seem to recall F-zero being in the pipeline? I hope they won't shy away from offering some truely hardcore experiences and will want to make something like F-zero appeal to the casual market.
Haven't been paying attention to it since announcement, but I'm interested. London setting by devs of LiS and Remember Me? That aspect at least should be engrossing. Combat probably won't be.
I should really get back to Remember Me some day. I don't think I even made it through the tutorial.
I’m most looking forward to seeing Microsoft’s E3 conference followed by Nintendo’s and then Sony’s.
Are we still using this as a metaphore for Fallout 3 on Switch? Because if so, you've completely lost me.
That's ok.
I might buy Mario Tennis Aces based on the demo. Last tennis game I played was 10 years ago.
Felt great, the controls work well which is all important. The extra elements makes it feel like streetfighter x tennis.
You get all these special shots, motion controlled pinpoint aiming, you can forcefully break peoples raquets to win the match by default. You can use slow motion to react to special moves. And of course there are all the normal shot mixes like slices and topspin.
There is also a charge meter you can use to initiate trick shots which are unique to each character. The adventure mode looks fun.
Switch game leak:
Starlink? That's not that rumored Bethesda space RPG is it? I can't see them getting it on Switch honestly if it's supposed to be a cutting edge PS/Xbox RPG, but who knows. I think the codename for it was Project Starfield or some shit.
Why Platinum Games may never work with a publisher again
GOIN' COMMANDO MUTHAFUCKAS!!!!
I think most of their stuff is ready to go at this point though right? I mean we only have a few years of PS4 left at best, and they're not going to be showing off PS5 games as yet, so I'd think most of what they have left for PS4 is nearly done and coming over the next year & a half. I'm hearing Resident Evil 2 will finally be ready....that's easily my #1 E3 game if true.
A close #2 is that new CD Project RPG Cyberpunk 2077. And of course Metroid Prime 4 even though I'm very nervous about this one living up to the pedigree.
Starlink is Ubisoft's game.
Oh ok. What kind of game is it?
Some kind of space shooter with Toys-to-Life game. Looks ok minus the separate toys purchases requirement.
you used to be the gaming geek. I still have endless ocean sealed lol.
I can confirm RE2 is real and will be there.
Well then, what am I supposed to do when my erection lasts for more than 4 hours?
