This is really cool, but for me at this point in time with all the high tech classic consoles being made nowadays, as well as just the great emulators you can use on the PC for N64, I don't think I'd be into dropping $400 for an N64 with HDMI. I'd rather just wait and see if someone like Analogue comes out with their own N64.
Yeah I nabbed all the new costumes in BOTW too, including the Xenoblade 2 outfit.
One thing that bugs me about this DLC is that the new gear is all low powered in defence, so for those of us who completed the game ages ago and have little reason to continue playing to level up this gear - the new outfits are useless for us because their defence level is like 4 compared to the level 28 or more gear we already have. Some of the outfits look really cool too.
Same for the motorcycle, great for newbies, but what reason do I have to play it, when the process to obtain it means you have to have completed the game and then completed all the DLC too to nab it. Now I have this awesome new dirtbike and nothing left to do in the game with it. WTF? At least give me some races with those glowing blue rings.
Also went back to Xenoblade 2.
That map is better since the update but still a bit of a POS sometimes. Unlike XCX, the path to geting to higher levels isn't clear and the flat maps are useless when paired to a direction indicator that only goes straight - leading you to multiple inpassable ravines/drops or cliffs. The combat is good, but the number of characters is so visually messy. You have a 3 man team, but each person has a blade which is another character.
So essentially you have a 6 person team, facing off with say other drivers, who each have their own blade/character. So I was in this battle our 6 vs their 6. Can you imagine 12 characters all in close proximity, lasers firing, special moves going off, HUDS all over. Shit glowing, shields going up. And there were points where I could not even see the thing I was supposed to be attacking. Seriously....
Also played a lot of Splatoon 2 today, for some reason the ink main ticket I bought had no effect at all. Then I bought a swim speed ticket, which mysteriously vanished after 2 uses.
Also put back ARMs to see the new character. Whoa, great game. Love the new tactics and characters with their special abilities. Glad I only play with the grip and not with motion.
$400 is crazy! Cool that it can be done, but there's no way I'd pay that much.
