Well, that's how EG reported on it, but it seems that the IR camera is only used for reloading, presumably shotgun style. Aiming is assisted wtih motion controls.

Looks good enough and fast enough. It will easily go down as one of the best FPS titles the Switch will ever get. Hell, even on the other consoles that have a million FPS titles, this is the best of the best.
