I really can't imagine playing FF15 on Switch. Even the Xbone version that I played, it is one of those games that you instantly feel needs more horsepower because of the design and the insane engine it has. The whole time I was thinking "I really want to play this on my PC". A Switch version would need to be so stripped down to run well. Moreso than Doom, even. I also played Doom on the Xbone and while it's definitely not the PC version, they did an amazing job with that game enabling it to run on various hardware. It's very smooth.
Switch is funny because it really feels like it's right on the edge performance wise...it's not like the original Wii where it's so dated that you can't possibly get games running on it in any kind of quality terms, but it's also not strong enough to run most games the way they were designed. I guess the Wii U was the same way but nobody gave a fuck since nobody was buying it anyway.
Microsoft won't confirm Xbone X lifespan, and I won't confirm buying one until it's in the bargain bin. You guys have shit for exclusive games compared to Sony or Nintendo, and I have zero interest in an exclusive-less box as someone who games on the PC. All consoles are really worth to me is dependant on their exclusive games.
It's too bad that SEGA company doesn't make consoles anymore. They used to have about a gazillion more great exclusives than Microsoft.
I will when it's on Steam or I pick up a Switch down the road.
Nothing really new. He said before they tried running Luminous engine on Switch and it didn't go well. But then he said that they didn'y customise or optimise the engine at all on Switch and that they had tried other engines like UE4 which worked well on Switch - from their tests.
You will require a billion GB micro sd card.
The thing is with multiplatform games, a lot of time people don't play the games the way the media does. When you buy the Wii version of COD, you don't buy the 360 version too and run them side by side on dual tvs in your home or watch extended video comparisons. You play the version you bought, you buy the version you want for whatever reason that is - in the case of COD Wii it was IR aiming. And for Switch it's more for people who want flexibility and portability in whatever version of a game they want. Or because it's the only platform they own and they will be grateful to play said game, regardless of any cutbacks or visual dialing back.
I'm sure most Switch only owners or those who want a cross home-portable one copy of the game won't mind a lower resolution Doom for instance. They'll just be happy they get to play it in the first place.
Congrats to Phil Spencer joining the senior team at Microsoft. He's a very cool guy and I feel that this bodes very well for the Xbox brand.
Gaminggeek, what the hell is happening in your avatar? Is that some form of inkling mating behaviour?
I thought that she had just taken a tentamissile up the ass.
I thought she was farting a cloud of green gas.
I can see that too.
Mario Odyssey previews!!!! Videos!!!!!!! Amazing!!!!!!
But I am afraid of BOTW syndrome and it becomes a bunch of exploring and not great platforming segments.
You mean you fear it'll become more like Mario64? I wouldn't worry that the platforming isn't going to be up to snuff, but it'll be more in segments I presume. Patches of platforming surrounded by explorable area. Kind of like Mario Galaxy if all the planets were just zones in a large roamable level?
Funny it's Batman day on PSN but for the Comics, Harley Quinn hijacked Batman Day because this year is her 25th Anniversary. At the beginning of this month, September 5th to be exact was the 25th Anniversary of Batman the Animated Series which aired it's first episode on September 5, 1992.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
I'm almost done with System Shock 2.
It's a very cool game and I can definitely see the influence it had on later titles like Deus Ex, Bioshock, Prey etc....but people make this game sound a million times better than it really is. It's very very far from perfect. The controls are very old school 90's PC cumbersome. The map is confusing as hell and it's extremely tough to figure out where the hell you're going half the time. Especially because many of the environments are full of hallways and whatnot that all look the same. There's been too many times where I've been told to go here and enter this into a terminal...and they don't give you the slightest fucking clue of where you're supposed to look. So you end up roaming around and dealing with enemies who respawn all the time, using up valuable ammo and health packs just looking for your objective.
And they don't give you a lot of ammo, health, or upgrade points in this game....I mean, even less than the old Resident Evil games. But RE had objectives that were easy to understand and figure out where to go. This game does not. I had to resort to using cheat codes to give myself an edge because I really don't think I could finish this game otherwise. Games like this were the reason we needed cheat codes in the first place.
The underlying game itself is really cool. It had great production for a 1999 title. Good story and good weapon designs, enemy designs etc. But it all feels like a rough draft for Deus Ex to me...and then years later, Bioshock.

Perrin used to turn me on back in the day. Looked like a fun doggystyle milf.
I haven't been gaming much lately, as work has been very busy and all free timeI have has been spent dabbling with app development with Tasker. It's fun, in the same way that a puzzle game can be satisfying to play. You basically string together simple commands to get Tasker to perform certain automations, like turning wifi on only when you're at home. I first started using Automate, which is very user friendly and has a great simple UI and a lot of built in functionality. I created a couple of cool 'flows' there that are basically small apps that only work if you have Automate running. Now I'm trying to recreate them in Tasker as Tasker can export what you create as a standalone app you can put up in the Playstore. And let me tell you, porting anything is a hellish task. Good thing game development has middleware these days.
That video is great. I love the Grace Jones bit.
The video makes me want the original N64 Goldeneye on Switch. I’m afraid I probably won’t like it if i played ITV now though.
