Capcom is too stupid to hire him.
Yeah, hell will probably freeze over first.
Fuck you Sega. I don't want a NiGHTS costume. I want a NiGHTS game. In fact, fuck you a second time.
That would be so awesome to see Shinji Mikami direct another Resident Evil game.
Was playing Splatoon 1 while waitng for Lost Legacy to arrive. Game is so great. Still plenty of action on the Wii U lobbies, at least in my time zone, where I catch mostly Japanese.
I was playing Splatoon 2 yesterday evening and it seemed as if there were only 12 people playing. I kept coming up against the same people, even after ducking out to change gear.
And I have to agree with GG, lag is really a lot worse in this game than it was in the original. It might have had something to do with those 12 people being scattered around the globe, but I was often being splatted after only one shot seemingly hitting me, or none at all. It really ruined my play experience that night.
I'm also finding that I play a lot of Salmon Run. It's fun to play cooperative, and lag is also less of an issue.
Vader thanks for that Tomb Raider 2 remake info...I didn't even know this was a thing! People are doing some amazing things these days I gotta say, with various fan remakes. So funny how a lot of the time they're better and more passionate than the actual real developers. TR2 deserves it too...imo that was the best game in the series for the original old school games. That would mean up until Crystal Dynamics took over with TR Legend in 2006.
TR2 was basically TR1 perfected and like 10 times bigger. Great shit back in 1997. Unfortunately these days it almost seems to be forgotten because it's been so long and it never got the official remake treatment like TR1.
That was one of the games I remember people used to make fun of Gamespot about because whoever reviewed it there gave it a 5/10 and said it was mediocre. Not sure how you could play that back then and not love it if you liked the original. Kind of like hating Mario Galaxy 2 or something. If you're ever bored it's fun to go look up some of those old mid 90's reviews at Gamespot,,,some of them are terrible. They got really good around 2000/2001, but not so much before that.
You should really find some way to use the Nintendo app GG. That way we can easily get together to play Salmon Run. I've managed to play together with Vader and Travo on 2 occasions already because of the app.
Just looked up the Gamespot Tomb Raider reviews.
It was Good ol' Jeff Gerstmann that gave TR2 a 5.7 and said "Don't believe the hype". That explains it all.
But a month before his review, this other guy who was at Gamespot back then, who also reviwed the original TR for them, also reviewed TR2 for the PC. He said it was a great continuation of the series and gave it an 8.2 rating. Seems like another case of Gerstmann trying to go against the grain to draw attention to himself.
Gotta love Gerstman. I hung out at GS for years but never really reads their reviews. I loved the EGM reviewers.
EGM were fantastic...short and to the point.
Greg Kasavin was an excellent reviewer at Gamespot. He ran the site well, then when he left they put Gerstmann in charge and it went straight down the shitter. I also used to like Matt Casamassina's reviews at IGN. Was bummed out when he left and went to work for Apple. Nowadays, there's really nobody or no particular site/mag that I look at and say "I really wanna see what this guy has to say".
BTW...I noticed while I was playing Prey earlier this year that they named a bunch of character's after guys from EGM, like Crispin Boyer. No idea why but I found it funny.
After being aggravated and personally insulted by the atrocious camera, I ended up giving XCX a second, fairer shot. It's not nearly as revolting as I thought it would be, and I'm already in love with Lin. Perhaps there is some hope for this game as a way to wind down in bed some nights (I have the wii u on the nightstand, not plugged to any TV and only in gamepad mode).
You have more patience than me.
I mean if this and the original xenoblade are the best rpgs the system has to offer, I'm glad it died so soon.
And the demo is great! So good to see real platforming, games that respect your ability to find your way yourself.
Me playing Tomb Raider 2 remake at ultra settings 1080p. Tryin' not to feel it too hard...
