Well, I splurged and bought Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I bought it mainly for my eldest son. Not sure if that's sad or a joyfull thing. He can now play one of his favorite games on the go, as his favorite Mario character, Bowser Jr. I also didn't own the second DLC pack, so there's still some value in it to me, and I'm sure whenever I get 4 players together we'll have a blast with the battle mode as well.
I considered getting it as a digital download. The form factor of the Switch, not to mention the fact that the games are hidden behind a cumbersome hatch, have me leaning towards digital, but I guess old habits die hard.
So you get 12 new tracks.

As far as I can tell, if you combine the sales of Xbox One, Wii U & Switch...all three combined actually equal the PS4's sales. Shiiit, now we have ourselves a war son!

The steer assist in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a neat feature. My son had a friend over who doesn't own a console of any sort, but with the steering assist on and some practice, he could play along pretty well. There's also a cool visual indicator of exactly how much the assist is helping, as the kart will get an antena attached to the back, kind of like an RC car, and every time the assist kicks in, the tip will glow yellow. So not only is it a subtle indication of who is getting some help, it also lets you evaluate if someone is getting better by watching how many times the light blinks on.
Can anyone fill me in on Disgaea? Disgaea 5 is headed to Switch and the little info I saw of it on the Switch made it seem pretty fun, but I know absolutely nothing about these games.
