EDIT: just completed 1989 Robocop arcade by Data East. Awesome game, to begin with, then after the Omnicorp level it's filled with unfair trash, dying every 10 seconds. They put so many enemies in the game that the game slows down to a crawl, there ar often no way to avoid the attacks as they load the area so you will feed credits into it constantly.
There's no reason a studio working under Nintendo can't push whatever console they're working with to its limit, other than being cheap & lazy.
What about budget, talent, team sizes ambition, type of game, timeframes etc?
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, never underestimate Nintendo's ability to underdeliver. I'm laughing my ass off at most of the N.Directs. You'd really be surprised at how little fucks given I have for all gaming at the moment. Or anything else.
You guys have this unrealistic wistful view on Nintendo, on how they should do what you want and make what you want. That in some mystical future they will finally realise and become more like Sony. Nintendo is Nintendo and will constantly do weird shit, while everyone else is doing Uncharted, they will announce Dr Mario's Wooly World. Or how Virtual Boy games are finally coming to NX.
Just give it up. They will always let you down. Vote with your wallet and just don't buy Nintendo systems - it's only when they have a catastrophic financial crisis that brings about a total philisophical change (and no Wii U isn't that) that they will actually change the way they think and operate.
You either accept this, or you'll just be let down time and time again and go into entitled gamers rage.
It's like NX at the moment, they have literally announced dick so far and yet there are thousands of posts and hundreds of pages on GAF threads. People build up these unrealistic expections -which were never promised in the first place- that are never fufilled and then go into nerd rage.
Nintendo doesn't give a shit, they're Gene Wilder in the Chocolate Factory, pissing about with Oooompa Lumpas and drinking up mind altering chocolate lakes. That's they way I view Nintendo and it's a well known phrase on GAF - Nintendo's gonna Nintendo.
Happy to say that after a few rounds, I'm as good as I ever was at Splatoon (not that I was terribly good in the first place). I picked from my A- ranking, plummeted back to B+, but have now gotten back to where I was. And I'm showing this Japanese 8 year old kids who the fuck is their boss.
It's a Capcom? Brawler like Aliens vs Predator with mechs. Pretty badass at times, huge sprites, no slowdown and bits of your mech can get torn off. If so you can go pick your arm back up and stick it back on. You can also swap out your ranged gun for flamethrowers, lasers etc and also your melee weapon for laser swords and massive drills. You can also jump into a chassis. You glide around levels, dashing, no walking here.
Fun game but pretty long for an arcade game, the last few levels were trying. Still good stuff.
Amazed that games like this run fine but stuff like Alien Storm and Aliens or Crude Busters struggle.

Hopefully we can play with each other this weekend.
Did anyone play Severed on the Vita (for the three people here who own one)? I just noticed it's coming out for the Wii U in a few weeks. It's made by DrinkBox Studios, the guys who made the outstanding Guacamelee, so I think it'd be worth a look.

I am one of the three people! And I didn't play it.

Good lord it takes some adjusting to get use to these Resident Evil 4 controls again.
Completed Armored Warriors

In other SC news, clowns have been spotted near the woods in Greenville, trying to lure children with money. (I can't believe I typed that either.)

I thought you were the only one who owned a Vita.
Shit, I think you are right!
Vader at least used to own one. I swore someone else did too.
