Here are some quick Batman impressions: it's certainly a Telltale game, no consequences for your actions, no changing path or storyline. In fact, you get a platinum for just playing through the whole game. I love the decisions I had to make as Bruce Wayne. I let Falcone have it since he's an asshole. The batman fights are kind of cool though I feel kind of slow to input the commands fast enough.
Who here plays shooters with a controller? And if you do so, do you invert the Y-axis or not? I only play FPS's once in a couple of years and keep forgetting which one I prefer. For flight and space sims, it's definitely inverted, but for shooters I can't seem to settle on inverted or not. It both feels wrong to me.
Always controller. Never inverted (for shooters). If flight sim, then inverted, as Buddha intended.

Fuck mouse, controller all the time. And yes I invert, makes no sense to change the way you aim just because the HUD is a cockpit or a helmet.
Perhaps you;d liek to subscribe to my newsletter. brother.

Why is this interesting? Nvidia has always been better than AMD. Just because they're working with Nintendo now doesn't suddenly make it interesting mofo!

Interesting to me, I didn't know that. Also NVIDIA FLOPS are like 40% better then the way AMD measures them. So directly comparing them flop to flop won't be that useful. To me it says that even if nx has lower flops than xb1 in real tests it could still turn out to be pretty capable. If they can balance heat and power draws.
Are you basing that statement off of the UE4 comparision? I don't think it's that straightforward, but believe what you'd like. Regardless of meaningless numbers, just think back to how amazing SMGalaxy managed to look on the humble Wii. I'm sure at least 1st party games will look the part on the new hardware. On the other hand, no amount of flops will be able to make the lush greens in SM3DW any lusher or it's googley eyes more googley.

Not just that no, GAF tech guys have been repeatedly saying in multiple threads over the past few days - that NVIDIA flops are far better performing than AMD flops. There are NVIDIA cards with less flops on paper than AMD ones that actually perform better in benchmark tests. And apparently it's quite a common occurance. These are benchmark tests, not heresay.
So in relation to NX and the X1 Tegra or TX1, or even a Pascal based chip, if Nvidia says it's like 500 gflops that means it actually performs as well as an AMD 800 gflop gpu.
So if the NX uses two X1s for 1 tflop or one TX1 for 1 tflop theorectically it could actually match XB1s 1.3tflop. Heat and battery aside. And if there was some eGPU and the NX had like 1.4tflop it could match or exceed PS4.
Star fox guard continues to impress. I unlocked the online mode where you play against other players robot loadouts and maps. You can create your own and send them out and see how they do.

Did Alfred remember anything?
Yes, he liked that I followed his advice for once. He's really the only one I care about pleasing.

I always use a controller if it's available. Mouse/Keyboard works for older PC games, but I'll always prefer a gamepad.Inverted sticks, non-inverted for mouse.
Oh man, I'd really like to get one of those Xbox One S systems. So sexy. Must hold out for Scorpio.
Agreed. I just can't justify a reason to get the S with the Scorpio only a year off. Plus, I need a new car badly so that kind of takes presidence.

Nvidia's stuff (and Intel) is just much better built, lasts longer, and on the PC end of things they have much better updates and customer support. Its the same reason everyone was stoked that the og XBOX had an Nvidia gpu. Its a case of "you get what you pay for". Yes Nvidia and Intel are more expensive than AMD, but the quality makes up for it.
Wiimote shooters all the way. But with screen lock and proper decently implemented bounding boxes. I'll also take good gyro control over stick aiming.

From what I was reading on GAF now and in the past, MS got pretty burnt by having the Nvidia GPU stock part in the OG Xbox. They wouldn't reduce the prices and it wasn't a custom chip - part of the reason they ditched XB early because it lost them billions. Nvidia also did the PS3 GPU and that system was saved by the CPU, the GPU in X360 was better than PS3s. Regarding Nvidia, I was mildly aware of them having more powerful GPUs in the PC market. But I wasn't aware that certain engines performed far better on different companies GPUs assuming they were the same power range. With regards to NX, we have no idea what its going to turn out like. Bare minimum 500gflops are in the X1 dev kits, I personally think it will scale up when powered to at least somewhere around 1 teraflop. But if say it was 500glops and UE4 games performed 60% better - than it would look like it would do running on an 800Gflop AMD Gpu.
Nintendo is putting together a triple-A software line-up, to ensure NX flies out of the gate next year.
Developer Game Freak will bring Pokémon to the platform, while Nintendo’s first party titles include the previously announced Zelda game – Breath of the Wild – and
a new Mario game. All three products are scheduled to appear within the first six months of the machine’s life.
The firm has also been busy securing third-party support, with Sega, Square Enix, Ubisoft, Activision and Warner Bros already on-board.
Sources close to Nintendo have told MCV that the firm is determined that NX will not suffer the same slow start as either the Wii U or 3DS.
The same sources confirmed that the Eurogamer report last week - which revealed that NX will be a portable machine that can be plugged into a TV and features a breakaway controller – is ‘100 per cent accurate’.
Game graphics will be ‘somewhere between a PS3 and PS4’, with Nintendo targeting an audience that sits between smartphone gamers and the more hardcore users of PS4 and Xbox One.
“It’s a nice bit of kit, a bit of a novelty, but a good one,” said one exec that has got hands on with the machine. “It won’t appeal to PS4 fans. Nintendo seems set on trying to upgrade smartphone gamers. That’s going to be a big job for the marketing department.”
NX is currently slated to launch in March next year worldwide.
What does somewhere between a PS3 and 4 even mean? Wii U with a more modern GPU can already do PS3 like graphics - even if it is deficient in SIMD floating point calculations. Why can't they just say how much more powerful it is over Wii U or something?

That was MS's fault.
Just because Nvidia makes better pc cards doesn't mean a console is going to be instantly better because it has an Nvidia chip. Depends what the console maker paying them wants them to do. Obviously the amd chip in the Scorpio is going to obliterate the nvidia chip in the NX.

Interesting. UE4 performs 60% better on NVIDIA vs AMD gpud
http://m.neogaf.com/showpost.php?p=212251614 one of the tech experts says nx may run ue4 games better than xb1
It's good. If you have any nostalgia for the series it is likely very good.

Me too. But Not sure I will hold out.
If anything I;d love to ditch my launch PS4 since the lil fucker is disc spitting randomly while I play Doom.
