Trying to hook it back up via component. When I do I get no picture. When I plug the scart back in - go to menu - screen and try to set it to HDTV tv type that option is blanked out, because I've got the scart hooked up, not the component cable. But wii only has one video out so how the hell do I select the component cable option in the menu if I have no picture and if when using scart I have no option to select component out, because it's not plugged in?
Sound pretty generous. ET2 was so good, I wonder if the yankee version can measure up?
I was going to buy it, but as it stands now, it is not nearly as good as ETS2. Only two trucks, only two states and they messed up with the time compression so longer trips now take less (real) time than they did in ETS2. I'm not forking out 20 americanos on two trucks that I can only drive through one fucking road. We'll see how things improve over time in regards to breadth of content.
Ugh, thanks for the heads up. That's super lame level of content.
And yet I buoght it anyway in a moment of weakness.
In other news, I tried Splatoon.
Didn't like it. So now I can hate away with a clear conscience.
We took our GT class to the marionette theater in Columbia today. It was fantastic. We saw Han's Christian Anderson's The Snow Queen. I want to take my kids to see it soon.
There's a GAF thread comparing all versions and the fan made version looks weird and not like it should look. The Tantalus port is very respectful to the original art, they probably had access to files directly from Nintendo. When you look at it it's how you remember it - but when you directly compare it to the wii version it's like the vaseline has been smoothed off and you can see all the detail they've added.
The removal of the vaseline (filters), while showing off the higher-res textures and what have you, seems to dampen the colour, inhibiting the atmospheric quality of the SD screenshots. This seems to happen with a lot of HD remakes, but maybe it doesn't matter in motion?

Also, fan versions are usually atrocious.
The blur filter was atmospheric. But the improvements are worth removing/toning it down.
THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: TWILIGHT PRINCESS HD LOOKS (AND PLAYS) BETTER THAN YOU THINK
Most of my concerns about The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD went out the window the minute I saw it running on Wii U. My demo started smack in the middle of the decaying Sacred Grove, and I was immediately struck by the improved high resolution textures. It’s no secret that Twilight Princess has aged poorly, but that’s a natural consequence for a game designed around Standard Definition televisions in 2006. The models and environments look the same, but the texture updates are instantly noticeable. Many have been updated to look better in HD, while others others have been replaced completely. The familiar Triforce crest in the center of the Sacred Grove’s weathered shrine looks as if it's stood up against the test of time. You can see faint cracks in the detailed stone surface, with shadows from the overhanging trees around the quiet sanctuary adding a layer of ambience. It looked so much better than any prior footage I’d seen before, but wait until you hear how it plays.
I have to admit what’s here looked much better than I expected, and it makes this almost-ten-year-old game feel much more modern even if it's not quite as detailed as current generation games.
Based on of what I’ve played, Zelda: Twilight Princess isn’t the middling HD makeover I thought it to be. Nintendo made lots of graphical changes, and I’m sure the passionate Zelda fan community will uncover even more once it's released. But refreshed graphics can only go so far. This HD port looks and plays like a modern game.
Thank you Capcom for Street Fighter II. I will forever have the memory of one of my friends rage quitting and biting his controller because of that game. Thanks!
The game that got me into fighting games was Street Fighter II: The World Warrior. While I did play it as a kid, it wasn't until I purchased it on the Virtual Console for the Wii release in 2006, 15 years after the game released. Despite being arguably the worst version of the game you could buy, it was still so enjoyable I went to purchase Anniversary Collection for the PS2 and Guilty Gear XX ^ Core for the Wii. The game still had its magic after all those years.
I love me some Street Fighter. From the first time I played it had me hooked, and it's one of my 3 favorite franchises to this day. It's going to be a very sad day for me when it comes out this month and I won't be able to play it. But I suppose that's how it went with Street Fighter IV, so I'm sure I'll be fine waiting a year to play it and will love it just as much once I finally get it.

Personally I feel there hasn't been a "good" Street Fighter since Street Fighter III. IV was a disappointment. I only played V for 15 minutes and it seemed like an improvement but it was too fast. Like it took some cues from Marvel or something. Still too early to judge. Will probably jump on either when Super Street Fighter V is on sale.

No disappointment with me from IV, aside from having shared random stages. And sure enough they're doing the same thing with V. Lazy Capcom!!! LAZY AS FUCK!!! Still I thought it was a solid roster, and I the controls were actually a natural evolution from SSF2T.
Being too fast is a concern though. That's the very reason I never latched onto MvC3. Oh well, time will tell and lord knows I've got plenty of that.
Fuck me, having problems with Wii.

If anyone sees Mewtwo today be sure to wish him a happy birthday.
Anyone in for Splatoon Saturday today? I can make it at 22:00 utc which is an hour later because our clocks went back.
Happy 25th Street Fighter II.
Sorry, wife has occupied the tv.

IGN comparison video is best.
So I see noone cares about my recent Vita purchase.

I plussed it, but don't know why cause it's Vita.

Anyone else notice how Nintendos early reveals lately look rough then get much better looking closer to release?

From a fellow Vita owner, I salute you. I want that Trails LE.
