Woo I found a 16 gb vita card laying there forgotten in some dusty blockbuster shelf. B-store I mean, blockbuster died here too. I thought I would have to amazon it because nobody else has them around here.
Not too enthused by the latest batch of stages to be honnest. The best stages feature one or 2 central area's that are fought over for dominance, or resemble a sort of tug o' war with a big skirmish in the center. This one seems too large and very flat with little vertiality, like camp triggerfish. Museo D'Alfonsino is also too big and has too many nooks and crannies for turf wars in my opinion. It fares much better in ranked play though, where everyone's focusing on one part of the map;
Shin'en's history has been mediocre at best. When your claim to fame is a game where you need to balance things on other things...
I hope it turns out well, but I would take a cautious approach. A LOT of what they do is flash over substance.
Well I'm basing myself on my own hands-on experience with the original Fast-Racing, which was fun, although not spectacular, and the trailers I've seen so far. Not on some list telling me how I should feel about certain games. But yeah, Art of Balance was rather meh. I don't understand why it keeps getting so many ports.
But what's not to like about Fast Racing Neo? It looks good, it's fast, it's in a genre that hasn't seen (m)any games released in it over the last 5-10 years, ...
Fun is what you make of it. I'm sure DariusBurst will get average scores too, but the average gamer won't have nostalgia to fall back on when it comes to Shin'en's games. I'm not saying don't be excited, I'm just saying the average person should temper their excitement. On the surface their games look good, but they lack the game mastery to make them compelling to play. I'm hoping I'm wrong. This industry could use more games from bigger studios like this one. (Wipeout, a New F-Zero.) Instead we have to rely on indies...
If this game is successful, then games like Grip for PS4 (successor to Rollcage) have a higher chance of being made.
Yes, I was going to refer to DariusBurst in my original reply, but refrained from it in the end.
The proof of the pudding will be in the eating, but at least they'll be providing plenty of pudding at a more than reasonable price. There's as much content in there as there was in a Mario Kart game, prior to the inclusion of retro cups, and onliine play too, all for €15.
Every once in a rare while, Nintendo does something that reminds me of the Nintendo of olde; When they were innovators and industry leaders. Scrolling graphics, directional pads, rumble paks, analog controls, motion controls, glasses-free 3D and now...
Pokemon Picross takes a vile industry standard and actually makes it palatable!
The game has a micro-transaction SPENDING CAP... THIS IS A GOOD THING!!
You download the game for free. Energy for solving puzzles and unlocking more intricate puzzles are governed by Picrites. You can earn these over time, by solving puzzles or purchasing them outright. The BEAUTY of the concept though: IF YOU SPEND THE EQUIVALENT OF THE PURCHASE PRICE FOR A GAME LIKE THIS IN BUYING PICRITES, THE GAME BECOMES UNLOCKED, THE NEED FOR ENERGY DISAPPEARS and you NEVER HAVE TO SPEND MONEY AGAIN.
Yup, you can download the game for free and never have to pay a cent for it --or-- you'll never have to pay more for it than it would have cost as an actual product purchase...! HOW F'IN BLOODY BRILLIANT IS THAT?!
THAT'S the kind of thinking I hope goes into their mobile development and the NX. THAT is the Nintendo I love and remember!!

Only 2 people entused over Fast Racing Neo? How you disappoint me, VGPress.
I don't see any stacking at all. If I did, I would have erased them ages ago.
I have like 10 racing games in my collection that I have not played.
I'll have to chop out the Mario Kart portion anyway, too lazy at the moment.
To us on a normal computer it looks like the leaning tower of Pisa. LOL what are you using a 42 inch widescreen tv to view the internet?
So you're implying that horizontally aligned banners are superior to vertically aligend banners? RACIST! It's still exactly the same.
And at least with GG's sig, the 2 banners have been tastefully encorporated into one whole. Do something about it edge, you're uglying up the site.
Ah, but how many of those allow you to go over 800km/h ?
I have to go, this online radio station plays nothing but Christmas music:

Not convinced about Afleck as Batman, nor do I like Luthor. Doomsday looks really kinda BAD...
...but this is the best trailer yet, at least!

God damn that got me fucking excited!
I just use iTunes music and Pandora for my Christmas songs. Plus, I've accumulated quite a collection of Christmas songs over the years.
