I've been going to the same dentist for like 15 years, he's really good. He actually did another root canal for me about 5 years ago and has really improved my teeth for me. Anyway, I just went yesterday after a night of throbbing pain and indeed I need a root canal. Unfortunately, I have to wait a week while I pop pills to get the swelling down. Good Times!
I just preordered this the other day. Looks great and after the DQ11 reveal, I have a hankering for some DQ.
LOL......its REYN TIME!
Steam won't let me preorder their streaming thing. They promote it to me, but say "Coming Soon". Deal includes Portal 2 and Rocket League.
I pity Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo the day they put out all digital consoles and try to compete with Steam.
Youtube code generator page is not working for some reason?
I don't see how this would be any different from the current situation. They'd still be distinctly different machines, unless Valve would settle for a single SKU and would start requiring devs to optimize their games for it, in which case it'd enter the console market and disrupt the PC market. Which I don't see them doing.
To me, physical releases are the only advantage consoles have anymore. Once that is removed, they become just an inferior PC with an inferior service. So why not just stick with a PC in that case?
Steam doesn't need a single SKU. Most games are very scaleable and options can be tweaked. The whole Steam Machine thing is totally pointless...if you have a PC you already have a SM in the first place. I think the whole deal is just Valve's way of trying to show people how much more user friendly PC's are for gaming nowadays, than ever before. Hooking up my custom built rig to my TV is basically as simple as hooking up a new console. Crazy how much times have changed in that regard.
And just the whole layout of Steam, the options, the insane sales....the variety. I don't see any service from MS, Sony, or Nintendo being able to match it.
On a related note....NINTENDO OF AMERICA disappoint once again with no physical copy of Fatal Frame 5. Nope, download a 15 gig game onto your 32 gig Wii U. Let's limit the audience. God, NOA are fucking horrible nowadays. Can we bring back Howard Lincoln and Perrin Kaplan?
I disagree. Consoles offer a clear indication to consumers of what content they will be enjoy, without the hasstle that PC games bring with them where some games might not perform well on your own rig. Also, while it might be easy for you to hook up your pc to your TV, this isn't the case for everyone. For me, and most people I know, this wouldn't be easy as our PC's are in different rooms, in my case even on a different level, from the living area. For PC gamers this might not be an issue, they have long moved their PC close to their TV or don't make a fuss about playing at their desk. For console gamers, or casual gamers who's main pc might be a cheap rig without the required hardware to play most modern games on, dedicated consoles with one main SKU offer a clear advantage.
We agreed Vader before. Robio is okay though.
I don't think Nintendo has much of a say on the matter, wasn't it an Acclaim or Activision game and now Disney owns the rights?
Yes, this.
We get a ltd edition in Europe or digital. Almost makes me want to buy the physical regardless if I want it or not, just so on the chance I do like the free demo I wont be scrambling around paying extortionate prices later for the rare ltd edition.
Sweet Jesus, I think I'll stick to the N64 versions.
I don't think the N64 version looks that good...
Looks like the PC version.
GG, I can't play with you because you're not in a regular battle?
It doesn't but playing on the N64 with the fuzz and blur and on the original system lets me appreciate the game for what it is (was). Seeing that same game on a modern system with sharp edges and not much else just highlights how shit everything looked back then.
I haven't been playing the game online today. I've been conductind a series of eye opening experiments with weapons and equipment. I'll post some findings in the thread soon.
Now you've piqued my curiosity. I think in the end it just comes down to personal preference. I also saw you rocking a .52Gal yesterday. You're a cool cat now
I only use it because I saw how well you were doing with it. It's a good general gun, nice fire rate, decentely powerful with a good range and has the splat wall as a defensive option. Also the killer wail charges quickly and can clear areas fast. It's my second favourite weapon.
I posted some info in the Splatoon thread regarding my experiments and there are a couple of shockers I've discovered that I'm not sure I want to divulge. Really huge things if you pair the right equipment with the right gun or sub.
European Club Nintendo Has a Lovely Last Hurrah With the Nintendo Sound Selection Double CD
Stuff like this sickens me. At first they add nothing but crap, so that everyone starts reasoning they'd better spend their stars on the least crappy stuff, before the whole service shuts down and you're stuck with a lot of unused stars. Then, once everyone has used up all their stars, they start adding all these cool items. This isn't a lovely last hurrah, this is salt in wounds.
Not only that there should be the option to buy all this swag outright.
Cliff Bleszinski's Law Breakers reveal doesn't get the coveted news breaking black colour? How very uncooth. Well you can colour me red for furious anger.
Lawbreakers kind of looks like a Titanfall ripoff. Looks nice though.
