oh no a Zelda game is delayed and you guys are losing your marbles. This always happens. And we do not know what NX is yet and when it is releasing.

It was never coming 2015. Not at e3 is the story meaning it probably won't hit till late 2016 or something else is happening.

There has to be a Mario ready to go for this Christmas, no way they go the holiday without a big game.

XCX or Starfox?

Anyhow Iwata said already there were multiple unannounced Wii U games in development by Nintendo, some of which would be revealed at E3 this year, some releasing this year. Zelda, is always delayed isn't it? I can't remember when console Zelda wasn't delayed. WW maybe?

Anyhow has anyone considered that NX might be a normal console bundled with a VR kit? Everyone seems to be doing VR these days.

I'm hoping NX is Nintendo's Dreamcast.

Meaning just a straight up badass console where they are super competitive and make all the right moves. Unlike Sega, they actually have a rabid enough fanbase and plenty of money to make it work.

I just finished HYRUUUULE WAAAARRIORS!

Great game, loved it. Its definitely put an interest in the Dynasty Warriors series in me. Even the production values are really solid...early screens kind of made it look like an early Xbox 360 title but it looks really good, and the cutscenes are the best I've seen in ANY Zelda title. I just did the main quest which is a decent length. If you want to do all the extra modes and unlock everything, you could spend well over 100 hours on this game but with all the games there are to play, I don't have time for all that. The main quest is enough for me.

The game just oozes Zelda goodness out of every hole. All the characters are here, upgrades for your weapons and armor are all based on actual real Zelda items, great backstory you can check out through logs, etc. Awesome.

I hear it's the best Warriors game.

Aonuma on Zelda delay:

"Since I declared at the Game Awards in December that the game would launch in 2015, the directors and the many members of the development team have been working hard developing the game," producer Eiji Aonuma explained in a video released this evening. "In these last three months, as the team has experienced first-hand the freedom of exploration that hasn't existed in any Zelda game to date, we have discovered several new possibilities for this game.

"As we have worked to turn these possibilities into reality, new ideas have continued to spring forth, and it now feels like we have the potential to create something that exceeds my own expectations.

"As I have watched our development progress, I have come to think that rather than work with meeting a specific schedule as our main objective, and releasing a game that reflects only what we can create within that scheduled time, I feel strongly that our focus should be to bring all these ideas to life in a way that will make Zelda on Wii U the best game it can possibly be.

The Legend of Zelda (Wii U) screenshot

"So, I must apologise to all of you who were expecting the game by year's end, but we are no longer making a 2015 release our number one priority. Instead, our priority is to make it the ultimate and most complete Zelda game.

"I hope to use the added time to make a Zelda on Wii U that will reward you for your patience, so thank you for your continued support."

I doubt it.  The series ain't what she used to be.  Plus, since we haven't seen a single image of it, I would not be surprised if it was delayed too.

The NX is going to allow for portable play of console games. The upgraded processor of the New 3DS was done partially for that reason, to allow for streaming between it and the U. I think Zelda will allow you to do side-questing on a portable while you are on the go, to incorporate back to the console version when you are not.

No shot in hell they'll release a Metroid on this console. And if they did it would probably sell so shitty they'd never make a Metroid again.

Please Understand, by the time Zelda launches on Wii U everyone will have traded in their console for one of the others and it will not sell expectedly. Please understand.

This problem could have been avoided on a console that gets actual 3rd-party support. Please understand.

Haven't been following the news. Everyone knows that X in Japan means "Cross" as Tekken X Street Fighter means Tekken/Street Fighter Crossover... NX means Nintendo Crossover; a system to crossover between their consoles and portables...

That wouldn't really solve anything for them. It may actually make things worse.

How? Nintendo would be able to sell the same console twice: Home and Portable. And they could make one game that works with both systems instead of splitting resources to develop separate games for each platform.

...but, but that would mean they would have to change their Nintendo Online IDs to incorporate handhelds and consoles too...  WinkWink
