Yeah I like the guy too. I think he's a genuinely nice guy and there should definitely be a place for people like him in the gaming industry. I really enjoy hearing him talk about all the ideas he has for any particular game that he's involved with. I don't care if they all come to fruition, as long as I feel that the game turns out generally good then I'll be satisfied about it.
Famitsu is the most respectable, honest review magazine out there. Proof that Rev 2 is awesome!
(Total bullshit)
Ha....I've always had the impression that they used to be great for reviews back in the day, but right around the time GameSpot went to shit so did famitsu?
I think the tide turned against him with Curiosity and the kickstarter for Godus. There was too much that just wasn't on the up-and-up with those, and it's pretty easy to see how a lot of those unfulfilled promises can look like lies and cash grabs. Like I said earlier, he's a guy that probably just isn't responsible enough to be in charge of anything.
Soooo...Sony drops The Last Guardian trademark...and no one is surprised.
They got it back.
Um... yeah. Although, gyro aiming in Smash would be interesting for Zero Suit Samus's Final Smash.
I dunno. I trust my thumb on a stick/slider more than precision arm movement. This might change as I get older. I just don't like waving the system around, and I had enough of motion control on the Wii.
Gyro aiming is fantastic. Makes all the bow mini games super easy in MM
All those Xenoblade pics sure make that new FF look boring as fuck.
Stick aiming >>>>>>> gyro aiming for me.
Yeah I don't think Kickstarter is a good place for him to be. He's a dreamer and all his ideas don't exactly pan out and while that's not inherantly bad it's not something that can be easy to support for the average consumer.
Did they re-do the aiming mechanic for the 3DS release? The bow aiming in the N64 Zeldas is painfully bad.
You mean for Majora's Mask? I don't know I haven't picked up the game yet. I was just speaking in general.
I would have been surprised if I actually cared.
Bow aiming has been changed, I think, but only slightly, unless you count the fact that the gyro can be used: the arrow, from your perspective, hits the target lower and closer to the arrowhead (when the arrow is nocked on the bow). In other words, when you aim but before you let fly, you can aim the arrowhead closer to the target. I hope that's clear enough. :/ It's a welcome change, but it is taking me a bit to get used to it. I don't remember the same change being in OoT 3D.
Ah.
Perfectly clear, thanks.
Free lemonade!
If I was someone like Molyneux, a truly original thinker and regardless of his PR image, someone who has created an entire genre, and several successful franchises, asked me, "Do you think you are a pathalogical liar?" I would answer, "Do you think you will ever be able to have a creative thought? Do you think you will ever be able to build something that millions of people have enjoyed? Or do you think you are limited to tearing down others to feed your adoloescent sense of importance while writing for your z-list web blog? Don't answer those, they were all rhetorical. To answer your question, yes. And I also think you are a very insightful, intelligent interviewer who is not a complete dickhead."
