Videogamer Evolve Review 6/10
Evolve should have been great. It isn't. Worse still is that its core idea feels as if it has been undermined by over-complication and, more disappointingly, the worst practices of modern publishing.videogamer.com impressions gamingeek

EA buying Bioware is a draw. That company would have folded in on itself.
Square Enix was a survival move. Square-Enic x Eidos, had helpd them greatly in understanding the western market.
Microsoft buying Rare. That was a disaster for both parties. Mostly MS shareholders.
I would have rather Bioware merged with someone else. And them joining with Pandemic before EA totally made no sense. I would have actually liked to see them merge with Square. At least its two RPG studios. Or Bethesda, or even one of the hardware companies.
Square merging with Eidos hasn't really hurt anyone...yet. Though it was a total joke the way Square was trying to blame Eidos for all Square's problems, when Eidos's games were the only ones actually SELLING.
And Rare....biggest mistake ever going to MS. I mean, you wouldn't think it would be, as MS have the money to restock the talent there whenever they want and the company could easily still be one of the best in the world IF THEY WANTED THEM TO BE. But they obviously don't really give a fuck about Rare, as if they did, they would have done something meaningful by now. Nintendo would have never let them become the joke they are. I don't think Sony would have either. And judging by Bungie's falling out with MS, they don't seem to be a very good partner with the studios they OWN.
I wish MS would just sell them to someone else if they're not going to do anything with them. Why leave such a historic studio and all its great IP's to rot away into nothing like this? How does that help the games industry?
Is this series any good? Is it like Game of Thongs?
I saw the first season and didn't think too much of it. Not sure how that qualifies as a recommendation though, since I hardly watch any series at all.
Ok, I need opinions here. Our biggest gaming store chain is offering a trade in deal on the New3DS and N3DSXL (these abbreviations are getting rediculous). If I trade in my 1.5 year old 3DS, along with 1 game, I can get a New3DS for €99 instead of €179. I'll still need to get a power supply seperate though. They even have a sheme to allow you to convert your saves and data to your New3DS that's equally convulted as what Nintendo came up with.
Now I probably don't NEED a New3DS. But for that price it is veering close to impulse buy waters... And I have always found the 3DS OS to be teethgrindingly slow. Supposedly this is much improved on the New3DS. And I could use an extra nipple to play MH4U when I get around to buying that, and lest not forget the improved textures in the game if you're playing on the latest hardware.
...
Come to think of it, I could probably just get a New3DS and sell mine for €60-80 used. Which would be a lot less of a hasstle.
YES! When I get a New 3DSXL I'm going to play Kid Icarus: Uprising again and I'm going to LOVE it. I may replay Resident Evil: Revelations as well as pick up a copy of Kingdom Hearts 3D.
Heh, Sony just notifiied me that my PS Plus service has expired; I could not care less. I haven't used the service since I built my gaming PC. and there are only two games coming to PS4 that I want this year: Uncharted 4 and Qbert. Nothing else appeals to me. It interesting how quickly tastes can change.
Just had a calf die within 16 hours of it's birth. I'll spare the grisly details, but unless you have to deal with this stuff, you have no idea how bad it is.
Now back to playing Evoland.
Sorry to hear that, man.
So, I wake up this morning, and there are four calves again. So... I think the calf I had to deal with was actually an interloper (that had come onto the farm) that the mother cows killed when it tried to take their milk.
Ah nature... They probably skipped over this part in Harvest Moon.

Any spoilers in there?
