Cool, thanks Bear!
From the Resident Evil article:
Resident Evil Revelations 2's producer Michiteru Okabe has said that he's confident the next major Resident Evil game will "blow our minds" – despite claiming to know absolutely nothing about it.
LOLz
Downloading a 25gb game, that's a hindrance to me.
And you can send money to anyone who has a paypal account as long as you know their email address.
So I will PM Edge my email so he can forward me the fee for this tech support.
That will be 10 of your American dollars.
I'd have to say this is comparable to the difference between RE & RE2. Its a sequel that just improves all that the original did.
So who bought Metroid Prime Trilogy?
I did. Takes forever to download. Very cool to have on the system but it definitely makes me wish for an HD version with redone digital surround sound, and Gamepad controls.
Bought Dying Light today and I must say, It gives a --GREAT-- first impression: looks pretty as HELL, the Parkour and Combat are very solid...
I have absolutely no complaints at the moment; for a Techland game that's pretty damn impressive!
It also stars the voice of Chris Redfield, so it brings this to mind while I am playing:
...Ok... Ignore that last bit and try the game!
Yeah, agreed about the HD version for Trilogy. I haven't downloaded yet, but I'm thinking of trading in my physical copy then downloading it. That game is like a Metroid lovefest with all of its extras.
Please describe in detail your Diablo fight...
Hey people can like what they want. I am sure it is the greatest simple loot game ever made. People like pressing buttons and seeing a bunch of tiny worthless enemies explode to feel all powerful. And I am sure the end game is great. Getting to the end game is a piece of shit.
Something is absolutely wrong with your game, D. It should not be so obnoxiously easy. You are the first person I have come across to have such a negative view of the game. I can't check now, but aren't there different settings for different modes... Are you absolutely sure the difficulty is turned up for the single player, non-adventure-mode game? Something has to be wrong.
Bear what is the point of the jouney of all you do is walk around smacking things mindlessly. Only to get things that smack harder making the smacking even more mindless and easy. The story was actually decent, the gameplay was terrible. With every secret and treasure I got the game got easier. What is the point of going into that optional dungeon if I am just going to fight the same things and maybe become even more absurdly strong. Again the main campaign caps the difficulty at a difficulty that is pathetic. I basically can't die, as long as I cam attack I cannot die. Meaning I can stand in a pile of 100 enemies for 10 minutes if need be until they all die. There is no strategy, no defense at all, I just attack attack attack.
Edge thank you for bringing up PSO cause that is the game I think most of when playing this. That game had combat that mattered. I had to think, I had to react, defense was important. The game was paced beautifully so that each stage ramped up the difficult accordingly. Death meant something. At the end of each level was a huge boss battle with that was unique, it made you play differently. Diablo 3 the campaign is none of those things.
The only reason I am still going through this crap is cause adventure mode sounds like the game I want to play. There is no excuse to ,ale me go through 20 hours of nonsense to get there.
Expert is the highest till act 4. I had it there since act 1. The issue is the gaining life per hit, it makes it practically impossible to die. it took me like 4 minutes to get through some fights cause enemies are tanks but I was in no danger cause I cannot die unless someone freezes me.
Got MP trilogy. First time playing the old games with the wiimote, should be interesting. Going to play 2, I have not played that one since it first came out.
So explain this to me Diablo players, when you played were you dying frequently? What was the campaign like, did you ever thing "I need new gear or this next section will be impossible". Did you get stuck at any point? Did any boss give you actual trouble?
I will say the customizing of gear and skills is great, it gives me the most enjoyment so far to make myself more badass, then I remember I will basically be doing what I was doing the last few hours smacking guys mindlessly. But at least they die quicker, yay...
GG project steam demo is up in Europe, play it for me.
Diablo III is a casual game. It's designed to be extremely easy on the first playthough, but ramps up in difficulty for repeat playthoughs. The main goal of the game is not to defeat Diablo, but to max out your character's stats and find the best loot. There is an option that unlocks when your first character reaches level 25 (I think) that gives you only one life. If you die, your character is dead forever. I think it's called Hardcore mode or something.
Hardcore is not my idea of fun either. I want good difficulty balance that is all.
Citizens of Earth Review by Tom Towers
Well this is disappointing, but it pretty well echoes most of what I had heard. Genuinally funny and charming, but utterly tedious at times and buggy as hell. If Atlus can be bothered to do a little QA on it to at least fix the game from crashing, I'll pick it up at a later date though.
The air was hot and heavy with thick acrid smoke and the stench of sulfur. With a blood-curdling roar Diablo lunged at me from the shadows. His mighty fist collapsing my body with a heavy thud. As I lay crumpled on the ground the crimson behemoth loomed over top of me sneering. I grasped my sword and shield and forced my aching body to it's feet. I then took refuge behind my battle worn shield as the fiend belched fire and brimstone upon me. At the first respite I plunged my sword into the monster who then wailed in agony. The strike was not fatal and he pulled me into a shadowy nether world. As I vanquished the smokey dopplegangers I was drawn back to the mortal plane. Diablo feverishly tried to summon cages made from the bones of the hell spawn to entrap me. His attempts were futile as I deftly rolled to avoid them. As he drew a final breath to unleash his flames upon me I lept into the air and plunged my sword deep into his hideous visage. His body was turned to ash as the beast fell silent.
