I'm the exact opposite right now. I suddenly became completely uninterested in my consoles and I am VERY much looking forward to the 3DS line-up in the next month or two...
Don't know what's with me. It could be that I am just resigning myself to the fact I'm not going to be home all that much in the near future or... dunno...
STEAM... it could be great but that is a pick up on sale kind and maybe one day you go through your backlog and discover it sitting on a shelf and play it game.

That is the top 25. Nintendo cleaning house as it should as they had the best year, Bayonetta 2 is GOTY. It is so nice to see a major forum that embraces all kinds games. One year a niche action game like Bayonetta 2 could win another a big title like Mass Effect, then even a tiny game like Journey as much as I want to throw up on that one.

Peoples' moods and preferences change. I think it's just something that waxes and wanes. A couple years ago I was all about handheld gaming. I can't tell you how many games I went through with my DS. But these days it's a chore. I've got my 3DS sitting in front of me right now, and I've been totally loving Persona Q, but I cant quite force myself to turn it on. I'm sure at some point I'll be into it again, but right now I'm just waiting for the wife to wake up so I can play the Wii U.

Yeah. Part of it is I'm probably purely focused on the old Monster Hunter right now. Though if both were on the Wii U, I'd probably be a lot more apt to switch and play them.
I'm ---REALLY--- not liking where Nintendo is going with their marketing lately...
Between the Amiibos and Collector's Edition Majora and the Limited Edition New 3DS's, it seems as if they are returning to their 1980-1990's "Create Demand by Releasing Limited Quantites to Stir Up Desirability" philosophy...

I just started the swapper, wow!!!!!!!!! The puzzles are fantastic, it’s a cool unique concept taken to its max complexity. The story is semi interesting too. This is like 2D portal to me. A gem of a game.

Playing Ninja Gaiden 3 all fucking day. I'm over halfway done now.
The game gets better, even the production values really pick up after that 1st level...not sure what happened there, reminds me of the first level of Rainbow Six Vegas that looked NOTHING like the rest of the game. However, the problems remain.
Like Dead Space 3, the game is just too generic and predictable for its own good. You know what's going to happen at all times...which makes things tedious and boring. You move from area to area, fight like 4 or 5 waves of enemies who magically rise out of the ether, run up some annoying ass wall climbing bit, and repeat. This is literally every damn level. And what annoys the shit out of me is every fucking battle HAS to have guys shooting at you. It can't just be ninja's with swords...nnooooo....we need fucking dudes shooting rockets at you, or throwing some kind of dumbass bombs. FUCK YOU!!!
Oh, and the worst part is the guys who grab onto you and blow themselves up. Oh my fucking word.
Outside of the combat, I'm not a fan of how they added a replenishing health bar to this game either. This isn't call of duty or Halo. I miss the shop guy from the first two games, and I miss the exploration bits of searching for loot chests to find new items. It seems all you find in this game are the scarabs.
Its still a good game, but totally lost the elite status and the magic on this one. Every change they made, made it worse.
That's sad. I thought of picking it up for the U one day.
I've been playing Hyrule Warriors all day. I love leveling up my troops, one of the best parts of the game. I also love when I finally get a new item to use. Makes it feel like a Zelda game. The grappling hook is especially cool in battle. The cameos are great fan service too! I freaked out when the moon made an appearance.
Have you even played Adventure Mode yet? You want to get crazy weapons and get lots of experience and items... That's the place to do it! Adventure Mode alone could potentially last you for hundreds of hours if you want it to...
