No it's not like Wii save states where it saves when you hit home and then deletes. It's more like a PC emulator save state. So for instance you can die multiple times and just load up the last save state to get through hard parts on old school games.
Storage space is 23 out of 30 gb I think. Fine for eshop indie games but if try and download a full retail game, one or two games will eat up your whole drive.
Oh ok. Cool, thanks. I don't plan on downloading any of the full retail games as I prefer to get them on disk so I should be fine on space for some time.

That's what I thought too but they have some really great eshop sales on a regular basis, new ones every week. So one download of Lego Batman 2 and W101 free promo for buying MK8 and my drive is full. I completed Lego Batman 2 so I can delete that. You keep the saves of course.
Looks like MS is really getting it. I am going to sign up for the early consumer preview program for W10 as soon as it is available.
What are the biggest improvements? I could look it up of course, but I'd prefer to get a short, clear summary.
You can re-size Metro (universal) apps, they brought back the full start menu including search. The full screen windows 8 interface is gone, now just a part of the start menu and a unified ap store.
EDIT: Now that I have it installed and changed a few settings it's pretty good. They have added My Computer back to the desktop (Now "This PC").
File Explorer and search are back on the taskbar. Better OneDrive integration.
All in all it is basically like using Wndows 8 with Classic Shell and makes the small parts of the Metro interface (which Classic Shell hides) relevant where needed. It's less two operating systems in one and more like Windows 7++

And don't forget Nintendo has not been shy about giving away retail games as bonuses and rewards. I fully expect Tropical Freeze to be among next year's platinum rewards.
There's a TON of Earthbound and Final Fantasy in there!
I think about 90% of that was done with Squaresoft images. That kind of makes sense though. I remember in the more early internet days you could find little sprite icons for almost any Final Fantasy character you wanted. The Unofficial Squaresoft Homepage (now known as RPGamer.com) had a huge section that let you download them.
It is official... outside of the guys who work at Laser Lemming and/or GameUnder.net I now cannot name a single person in the gaming media.
Hmm. He was on Leo Laporte's Triangulation (interview show) last week.Must have been his farewell.
Got to say, I didn't have much respect for Hsu. Particularly his dating of and then hiring of a reader (and promoting her - that is ptomoting in a PR way, not in a carerr path way -- before the relationship was disclosed).

I'm OK with it. What's the point in having power if you're not using it to get laid?

HOLY CRAP ! ! ! 13,000 SNES sprites in ONE image ! ! !
The REAL scary thing is almost all the ones I see, I recognize!

Pussy > respect.
I'm playing through MP3 and thinking, " God, I want another Prime game!" I could be perfectly happy with a new one every two to three years.
Metroid Prime Hunters.
Who did Hsu date. Not Jennifer Tsao, was it? Damn, I miss the old EGM crew.
Ok, good Prime games made by Retro.
I'm OK with it. What's the point in having power if you're not using it to get laid?
Metroid Prime Pinball. Seriously, it's the best game in the Metroid Prime series.
Prime Pinball is excellent but you have to have the rumble pack to fully appreciate it.
Nonsense. I hated that rumble pack.
That doesn't count. It's not developed by Retro.
