Ars Reviews Sims 4
"Everywhere you look, you'll see a place where DLC or an expansion pack would fit a little too perfectly"arstechnica.com impressions aspro
I'm getting Minecraft on the Xbox One tomorrow. I really enjoyed it on the 360 and it's one of the very few indie games that I like.
Oh yeah, Hockey is the greatest sort in the world.
I agree that Hockey is the greatest sport in the world. It is basically the only sport that I actually love watching as well as playing the other sports I would rather play than watch.
Yep, Bayonetta 2 was something impressive. Even the wife was like, "cool." Coincidentally, she now wants to do a Bayonetta costume.... I could live with that.
Anyway I liked what I saw, but I'm still conflicted about whether or not to get it. I'm just not good at these combo based action games. Never have been, never will be. It looks great, there's incredible value, and there's been a lot of time and effort put into it so I feel obliged, but... I just don't know.

Andrés Muschietti, the Argentine filmmaker behind Universal’s 2013 supernatural hit Mama, is taking the reins on Shadow of the Colossus for Sony Pictures. He’ll direct the adaptation of the acclaimed Playstation video game bestseller and oversee a script by Hanna writer Seth Lochhead. Joining Misher Films’ Kevin Misher as producer will be Muschietti’s sister, Mama producer and co-writer Barbara Muschietti.
Chronicle‘s Josh Trank was previously attached to helm the project, but the in-demand director is already directing the Fantastic Four reboot at Fox and a Star Wars project for Disney. Michael De Luca and Andrea Giannetti will oversee the project for the studio.
Civ V is really, really good. Much more fluid, dynamic and streamlined than what I remember the franchise being. I've been playing an online game with a friend from Spain for the better part of this week, it's been a blast.
Yeah I loved Civ 5.....I tried to go back and play Civ 4 after playing 5, and honestly it sucks ass compared to 5.

Hanna screenwriter? Best bring something to read in the cinema.
I would never want anyone to become the next sega. Nintendo is best with their own hardware, they just need to get back in touch with the rest of the industry.
That won't happen Seriously what must they be thinking at this point, I'd love to be a fly on the wall.

I wouldn't be too sure. Nintendo is launching their Amiibo lineup, plus they need a major title for the holiday.
Is anyone getting Amiibos? I don't want them for what they do, only for the collectable status. But I only really like 2 of them, the Samus model and the Animal Crossing one. I think I can get away with giving them to my pehews then poaching them back for my own use, as they'll just chuck them in the toy bin after a week. heh heh

BTW....SEGA always had pretty good support though, right up to the end on Dreamcast. Support only really got pulled AFTER they announced they were abandoning the system.
I see. Double standards then!
Seriously though, this "failed" system called Dreamcast is probably my second favourite console of all time. It's sad when good shit gets "Dreamcast-ed". For Wii U I really think the solid 2 years of bad press had a huge part to do with it. I've never seen such one sided, sustained negativity before. Look at the list of headlines in this article. As an industry the media can't have two years of trashing something, then they finally realise, oh we were wrong, and post the lone single article end of 2013, saying it's the best console to get etc. The damage is already done.

At launch, European fans will have three retail editions to choose from: the newly announced First Print Edition, the Special Edition which bundles disc versions of Bayonetta 2 and Bayonetta together, or the solus edition which includes just Bayonetta 2. Chill, I don't mean much by it except that a lot of Nintendo fans I know couldn't care less about Bayonetta. It's just extremely disheartening because the game is looking legit great so far and I want to hope that enough people are paying attention.
It's a little like Lebron going to Miami. Some of those feelings.
So Bayonetta is going to a far better organization (game company) than the one she was at before (sega) and will win multiple championships (GOTY awards) and bandwagon nintendo fans will hopefully go crazy for it.
BTW, I discovered that Sims will gain weight in The Sims 4 if you have them eat nothing but pizza, pancakes and mac & cheese all day without exercising. I'm forcing my fat sim to go jogging everyday now; she's still eating the pizza, pancakes and mac & cheese, though.

Can you give them a heart attack and kill off your character?
I have been playing Velocity 1 on Vita to be ready for the second one which just came out on plus. I am shocked leo is not all over Velocity 2.
Velocity 1 is a great little game. It has a nice twist to SHUMP formula. It is super simple but the core mechanics are fantastic.

DL'd it. Played it a good amount already. Reminds me of a shmup + Turrican. I like it!
