The fact that we are getting major series being made for PS4 ---AND NOT PS3--- is very significant. Hot Shots Golf, Dragon Quest, Y's and Disgaea may not be huge to all of us here, but the fact that they are willing to take the chance on making them for PS4 and not the PS3 shows the balance is finally starting to shift to Next Gen. Persona is bigger in Japan now than FF. It's got a HUGE following here too. One of the only reasons I was hanging on to a PS3 was P5. If Sony is willing to let a property like that go to PS4, they must be gaining confidence in the user base of the PS4.

Its natural progression of every generation. Its been a year, time to dump the ps3.
One, this last generation has lasted a long, long time. The progression hasn't felt all that natural. Two, it felt like there were and are faaar more ports from last gen to this one than in previous gens. It's good to see some solid original stuff coming. I don't think it's time to bury the PS3 yet, as I am sure there will still be games coming for a year or two more, but it's good to see the PS4 starting to be supported in relation to its user base finally. I would bet there's some kind of economic formula that takes an installed user base of a product and determines the length of time that it takes for owners to let it go, as there is one to predict how much time is needed and how big a user base is necessary for a developer to turn a profit on a new product coming to market.
All of this talk about excessively long console generations makes me wish there was a gaming platform that didn't adhere to rigid generational time frames, but evolved as needed over time. If only there were such a machine ...

Clearly you are insinuating an existing platform: the 3DS! A new iteration is released nearly every year, thus eshewing conventional wisdom about generational cycles.

I'm just looking at the pic and noticing the lack of boobage and the forearms and biceps of the 'women'...
Does anyone else have elongated boxes in in the windows where you post the News Descriptions and where you type your posts in general? There are some browsers that I've been on recently where the box is white and extends on endlessly. It literally doesn't end; however far you scroll down the page, the box extends. You can never scroll down to the 'Submit' or 'Preview' buttons. Also, this happens now too:

To be honest, I am still waiting to see what a true, developed for next gen game would look like. Yeah, inFAMOUS, but I've mostly seen ports.

It was time to dump the PS3 and 360 like 4 years ago.

The box extends so far, it covers the 'Company' buttons. This is on Chrome, btw...
