Hehehe. I still haven't tried TL2, only the first one. But to be honest it felt to me like a poor man's Diablo. Couldn't grab my attention for too long.
Have you played Record of Lodoss War on Dreamcast, Steel. I liked it more than Torchlight.
The graphics are kinda assy, though.
DKCTF is a fun game, and has some very nice visuals. WTF is up with the music, though? It feels oddly out of place, and far too mellow most of the time. I need peppy music to get my platform groove on!
It is? What games have you been playing? Most games I've played the 3D is great.
Lack of 3rd person motion comtrol isn't what makes mario kart 7 boring. It's slick and solid but workmanlike too. I got rid of it after a while. Mario Kart Wii was awesome but somewhat inexplicably panned at the time. Which is funny because I see all these Mario Kart 8 reviews saying "Mario Kart has always been great, so nothing's changed".
Mario Kart 64 was shit on a stick. The Wii game was awesome but some sites panned it LOL same old rehash etc now it's the same old rehash but.... it's awesome. Gamer logic for you.
Okay, what the hell is up with Wii Sports Club? You can't actually buy the game at all? I only see a $2 for a one day pass, which is fucking ridiculous! I wanted to play some tennis.
I thought each sport was sold seperately.
I thought so too, but there's no option to purchase separately in the eShop, only a pass. You can download the game for free, though. I'll see if there's a purchase option in-game or something.
Uh, you're suppossed to be able to purchase each sport forever, separately. I think you have to download the thing first then do it from the game.
^ It's probably just another special deal only for the UK. Fuck U, Reggie!
1. Free one-time 24 hour download.
2. $2 24 hour rental.
3. $10 ownership for one game.
^ Those other options are not on the eShop at all. I'm going to check the game, but it's taking for-ever to download the update for it.
EDIT: BTW, $10 is pretty steep for each game. I was thinking they'd be $5 or $6 each. We'll see.
Yeah, in-game there is an option to buy each sport indvidually at $10 each. Weird Nintendo is being weird.
EDIT: I think I'll just buy a used copy of Wii Sports Resort instead.
So because you guys are celebrating Memorial Weekend that means I have to go without game of thrones? The only thought that got me through work today was that I would get to watch the trial by duel tonight. Now I must find something to break

Try watching Penny Dreadful. Damn fine show, and it's only 3 episodes in so far.
Thanks for the heads-up. Will check it out

I did a brief recommendation for it in the movie/show/etc. thread. It's basically League of Extraordinary Gentlemen with classic horror characters. Unlike the movie however it isn't complete shit. First episode is amazing. Second was okay, but kind of talky, but it did end super-strong. The third episode only came out last night, so I still need to check it out.
This week's European downloads - May 29
This is pretty interesting. Mario Kart was the given, but they also threw in The Mysterious Muramase Castle. That's pretty cool. I've been pretty curious about that ever since the game got a spot in NintendoLand.
While Nintendo did a pretty marginal job with the Virtual Console for most of it's Wii U lifespan, I have to admit that the past few months have been pretty good. The GBA games have given it a new dimension, and they've started to drop in a few games that never made it onto the original VC like Mach Rider and now this. Once it's up to 100 games total (which should finally be in the next few weeks) it might not be a waste of time to browse anymore.
EDIT: Oh scratch that.... that was 3DS VC. Fuck.
Try Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.
Agreed.
