Whatever, that just sounds like anything that is popular is evil. I have no clue of one evil thing they have done.
Facebook sucks. I signed up so I could upload videos and pic from my PS4, and those fuckers have spammed me daily ever since. I call that evil. I have all their emails go directly to my junk folder.
I never get emails from them. There must be an option to change that.
Not sure what to make of Facebook buying oculus rift. If they just wanted to get in on the VR action and will leave the Oculus team more or less alone, I don't see a problem with it. However, I'm no fan of social media myself, and I can't help but feel the same 'Facebook is evil' kneejerk reaction. I just hope that they don't put them to work on social media stuff. I could definitely see gamers buy a VR headset. Facebook users not so much.
Well, the DLC seems to bring both narratives(bioshock and infinite) together, in a way that sheds new light on the whole lore, or something like that... I haven't played bioshock, and only played maybe 30 minutes of infinite so far, but what I read about the dlc surely made it sound very cool.
First of all good for Notch for cancelling planning for Minceraft Oculus because of Facebook.
Second of all, anyone who doesn't think this is Zuckerberg trying to create Ready Player One either doesn't know enough about Zuckerberg or Ready Player One.
Facebook's stock should have tanked to junk status when they announced this, Zuckerberg just drifted into Howard Hughes territory.
for fans only at this point.
They profit from exploiting base human needs for socialization. Is that evil? Nope, that's capitalism (and I am not being flippant, that;s just the reality of it). It is the duty of a corporation to exploit whatever weakness it can to make money. Facebook provides a social good by connecting people, they exploit a portion of those people by selling their volunteered personal information to advertisers. Informed consumers can take advatage of Facebook by taking the social good of connectivity while protecting their privacy (but most people either don't care or are too dumb to know how).
So facebook is not evil, they just suck.
You'd never write the review for it, though.
Pretty sure I could fake it by reading your old reviews.
I believe you could write the review (you wouldn't even need to appropriate), but I don't believe you would.
^Sounds like a dare. i shoudl write a review some time just so you can hack it apart.
If you have time (lack thereof was your excuse) to write, then write some bullshit about Spec Ops: The Line so I can review it (the game, not what you wrote) using parts of your BS.
Facebook is mundane.
Facebook buys Rift....

MegaCon photos are just about ready for posting. I'll make a gallery tonight but for now here's a teaser;
Good looking line-up for the GBA VC. Very curious to see how the games will look. Even moreso though, I'm dying to know if Konami will be putting their games on it. Really would love to get my hands on Aria of Sorrow again.
And as far as the Oculus Rift acquisition, I'm pretty sure I don't like it. Facebook so far as been pretty good about not messing up the companies they acquire, but they're also really good at making changes at a snail's pace so you don't realize things have gone bad until its' too late. They're like ninja's in that way. Look at how they handled Facebook "Fanpages" that so many businesses use now. Originally they were treated like other pages. If a company makes a post on their business/fanpage everyone saw it. Then they started holding back the number of views each post could get until it got to the point it's at today, where a given post will reach less than 25% of the audience. . .unless of course you're willing to pay for full access to your fans. It's like they followed a drug dealer's playbook. First taste is free. . . but then you pay through the nose.
Isn't that inherent to DLC in the first place?
