Screw it, let's do eighties music then.
The old horse still has some life in it! Beat it down!
One Night in Bangkok by Murray Head. Not only is it one of the finest songs of the 80's, but its also the best song about chess of the 20th century.
Yeah I figured Castlevania would win too. So its a pointless tournament to have then?
We disagree on like one game and I have shit taste now. You have shit taste!
I was listening to that song last night cause I wanted to understand the lyrics. First time I found out it was about chess. WTF blew my mind. I thought it was about some transvestite whore house.
Kojima picked his 5 favorite MGS characters
Snake
Otacon
Raven
The End
The Sorrow
Then Kojima said this:
"Most people playing MGS are closer to Otacon"
"[Otacon] Has no courage, is not heroic, constantly rejected by women"
LOL

Just saw the AC teaser LOL, I await the downgrade.
Yeah me too. In fairness that's probably what most songs about Bangkok are about.
Damn I forgot about that GG, thanks.
robio I give you three hours before some chick wants you dead.
Well, just spotted MediaMarkt selling Xbones
September seems to have come early this year.
Little point of interest: the shop was clearly stating that XBL Gold and value cards wouldn't yet work with the device. Yup, seems like a legit business practice to me.
Otacon got the poontang at the end.
Pass out cards saying you are blogging the event on the VGPress.
I didn't even get to the convention before I found a woman who wanted me dead. Apparently the convention is extremely crowded this year (even morseo than previous years), and a lot of the hotels have been having a difficult time accomodating everyone. No early check-ins, full parking lots, etc. Nothing that I didn't expect though, so I was happy to take my time and go with the flow, but I'm definitely in the minority. One random woman started to bitch to me about how horrible the hotel was, and I tried to put things in perspective for her and reminded her that this was a busy year and all the hotels were having problems.
Apparently fat chicks need loving too, or in this case sympathy. She gave me a rather nasty look, a harumph, and then walked away in a tiff.
I wish I thought about doing that earlier. I'd write horrible horrible crap about everyone and everything just to see if we could get some new registrations so that they could argue back.
I learned something amazingly cool tonight while I was at the convention. Other local area conventions go around promoting themselves as well since this is the biggest event in Orlando. One of those is Nerdfest (formerly Nerdapalooza), which is pretty much like experiencing an abortion in your ears. It's basically a geek music event. Geek/Nerd/Video game singers, bands, rappers and stuff perform for a whole weekend. Basically a bunch of wannabe Weird Al's and guys who watch too much Adult Swim and go for novely over quality. The high points are basically stuff like The Mini Bosses or Luke Ski. Still just novelty acts at best.
So as I read through the flyer for their next show I had to do a double take when I saw who the header was. . . Nobuo Uematsu and the Earthbound Papas.
Nobuo Uematsu????? Really???? How the hell did they get him???
Apparently he and his little group have been quite actively touring and this summer they will include Orlando to the places they visit. So now I'm trying to find out if he'll be signing at the show. If I can get him to sign an old Final Fantasy soundtrack I might just be able to endure some of the "nerdcore rappers" that will be performing before him.
