Yep. And if the majority of Wii U games are less than 4 GB it wouldn't even be a problem. Still I wonder if it's too much to ask for. Nintendo still doesn't have anything but NES and SNES games on the VC. I guess it's unreasonable to expect newer games.

Oh shit that was intense. I just killed Ornstein and Smough. This time alone, no summons to help. Fat fuck went down first, then super Ornstein.

I would think newer games would be a bigger priority, but we are talking about Nintendo.

Cannabalization of sales may also be an issue.  Get this year's Mario for $60 or the last one for $15?  Most families will get the cheaper one.  But I doubt this has even been discussed at Nintendo beyond, "If people want to play our old games that's why we built in backward compatibility".

I played DS2 for 10 minutes before the shut down the servers. WOW!!! The graphics just seem much more crisp, everything runs silky smooth. The environment is always moving, it has large grass flowing in the wind, the background feels more alive. The game plays with light in awesome ways, I was in a super dark cave with loads of pits of death. I went into a fort that was super dark so you couldnt see much but someone was shooting arrows at you. Nearby were windows with wooden planks covering them up so I broke the wood and sunlight came in lighting up the room. Later at the edge of a cliff as you pass a wall a dude jumps out and pushes you off the cliff to your death. This is Dark Souls alright, only 10 minutes but it was glorious. All online functions were working, tons of ghosts, messages and yellow markers for coop. I dont remember a session in DS1 with so much activity going on.

I dont think there was supposed to be one, it was supposed to start on the 12. It seemed like it was a mistake.

In the Wind Waker Iwata Asks they said they made a program that converted GC games to HD taking out most of the grunt work. Then I guess they go in for clean up and fixes. They also used an outside company that is used by many for HD versions of games to create high def textures.
