I think Luigi would stress the little guy out! It's meant to be more of a challenge with shorter, more intense stages with a MUCH shorter time limit! You don't need a Mario U save and the disc is now out at retail, I just don't think it would be a great idea to buy the disc for him alone. You CAN'T buy the Luigi U DLC on the Nintendo eStore without owning Mario U as far as I know.

Thanks for the impressions Edge.

Can you summarise the story of Crysis 1. So far the original Prophet died and gave me a suit, some dude (who is he) keeps directing  me about via earpiece. And a suit starts doing the same later, the creator of the suit. And aliens have invaded, what's the story behind that?

Quick Luigi U question?  Is there enough content to justify the purchase?  Do I need a Mario U save to play it?   I want a Mario platformer for my son and Mario U is just a little too steep.

To download it I believe you require NSMB on disc. Otherwise you have to buy NSLU on disc as a standalone. NSLU probably isn't that kid friendly, it remixes existings levels, puts a 100 second timer on and makes levels trickier.

Yeah, Randolph said elsewhere that the game is very hard, and not really for kids (unless they're the kind of kids we were back then, with L33T skillz we will never again be able to match)

I got Rayman, will hobo Splinter Cell and W101.

Suprised that DFoundry didn't mention texture compression in the Rayman Legends comparison, resolution and frame rate is mentioned but Legends was made with huge textures and Wii U's memory intensive design in mind. Also bearing in mind Wii U's larger RAM pool, you would at least look for any evidence of texture compression/artifact in any technical breakdown.

I'll probably get W101 or Luigi U sooner, and will wait for Rayman to hit the bargain bin.

As for the DF comparision, maybe they downgraded the textures on WiiU as well?  DF mentionned how games loaded fast on WiiU too despite no HDD install, contributing this to the larger RAM.  If textures were much larger, loading times wouldn't have been as remarkably short as they apparently are?

This is why Sonic fans generally need to be watched closely.... by the government. It's a couple years old, but I found out it was filmed in Orlando so I felt a need to share it. Be warned though. You'll just feel... I dunno dirty or something.

They would if done right, Genyo Takeda said that Wii U is a memory intensive design and everything we've read from developers (not backseat driver forum goers) says the memory setup is really good. Just taking into account the larger cache and triple eDRAM amount plus 4x the RAM compared to the older systems. NFS U has PC textures and once the brief city load is done the entire open world city streams with no problem, with those textures and it performs better than the current gen versions too.

Whore of the Orient branded a "disgrace to Chinese culture"

You want to know what is the absolute worst thing to fall off a top shelf and go all over the floor?

I'll save you coming up with an answer: A box of over 3,000 baseball cards that were sorted by team, and then by player name.

It's a confusing issue. For a start a lot of people have gone off on one against the Chinese, not realising that it's an Aussie counciler saying it. Then he's saying the word Orient is offensive, reading up on the issue it seems in the US it's considered offensive, in Austrailia it's archaic and in the UK it's completely innoffensive. Instead what he should be complaining about is the whole title of the game. Whore of the Orient is a term colonial invading powers used to name Shanghai. Since then it's been changed to Pearl of the Orient. So imagine a foreign power invaded America many years ago, took land, abused powers, got the population hooked on opium and referred to Washington as Washin' Ass.

SHIT, man! Sorry!

I just looked at my game "collection" the other day and was shocked to realize the games are no longer in alphabetical order. The "younger" me would NEVER tolerate that... long story short: I know just how you feel about your Baseball Cards; I just don't tend to have a few thousand games on my shelves!

Just speaking as an Australian, "Orient" is not offensive in Australia.  If you were to call someone "oriental" or worse, "an oriental" that would be offensive.

As to whether this game is offensive, I won't know until I play it.  I assume it was chosen for its inflamatory nature, and once they get a publisher it will be changed to something less disruputive (though I support their freedom of speech to name their game whatever they want, including racist or other insulting names).

I was gonna say flour. Bi have a ton of baseball cards that I need to get rid of.  The problem is I have no idea of their value and how to go about selling them.

Fortunately all my games are still sorted by system and name.  But these baseball caards will be going back in the boxes however they fit.  Old Aspro ain;t got time or patience for young aspro's shit.

Unless they are rookie cards they won't have much value.  The bottom dropped out of this market a decade ago.  Best to either sell them in blind bundles on Ebay, or just shove them away, they may go back up in time.
