Sony's first-party games will not implement DRM measures such as online authentication or one-time use codes. But if a third-party wants to implement those measures on PS4, they have the ability to do so.

Asked what would happen if a third-party publisher wanted to “restrict” their games, Sony Computer Entertainment America CEO Jack Tretton said in an E3 interview with GameTrailers, “We create the platform. We certainly stated that with our first party games, we’re not going to be doing that.

Hmmm.

Wrong, MS is doing it for all games. It is a platform wide system where you must be online and you have to follow all their trade rules. The PS4 does not have that. If the published want to add restrictions they will have to do it on their own through codes or who knows what.

Anyone else think Donkey Kong country could have actually been the massive surprise they were going for if they went back to the old visual style, but modernised it and made it mind blowing like Rayman? Would be a lot more exciting than flowing fur, at least.
