Goddamn you guys....I'm 38 hours into Skyward Sword and STILL not done. Its great though. Also playing The Cave which is cool just because of the humor and atmosphere.

Witcher 2 maxed out on PC already looked next-gen IMHO....Witcher 3 will probably be a more detailed version of that engine. I'm sure in motion those graphics have a ton going on in crisp detail that you don't see in pics.
Don't set your sights too high when it comes to "next-gen" visuals man. Between this, Watch Dogs, etc you're already seeing it. That's why this generation of consoles has lasted so long...not because MS and Sony did anything extrodinary to prolong them, but because the tech field sloooooowed down & they couldn't decide how to move forward other than Kinect and Move.
Those witcher 3 picks are from an early build so the game will look much better.
I bet you guerrilla games will show something that puts all other games to shame graphically. Just wait till Santa Monica gets working on ps4. Graphics will look much better than that.

However, suggesting Microsoft doesn't care about backwards compatibility in Windows is about as far off the mark as you can get. Do you know when Microsoft dropped 16-bit compatibility? That is, DOS? With the release of Windows Vista 64-bit.
Windows XP was released in 2001. Vista was released in 2007. Do you know when Microsoft dropped support for Windows XP? Trick question! They haven't yet. It's officially supported until April 2014.
There are no forced Windows updates, but having Windows updates is very important for security patches. Because of Microsoft's large business consumer base, they don't have a choice but to be very backwards compatible, actually to a fault.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileEhhhhhh.... I don't think MS will go the always online route. Despite the RRD issues, they've played the console market game incredibly well and have made very few moves that weren't flat out smart. Requiring an online connection would only limit their audience. While the majority of the core MS audience already has a connection that's always on, they've gone to very great lengths with Kinnect to try and get that wider general audience. That being said I still won't get one.
By the way Yoda, I love the new typing panel thingy. Very nice clean look.
I find the Xbox rumors to be pretty shitty for consumers. I will definitely not be buying one if any one of those things are true.
I have no intention of getting the next Xbox. I'll likely get a PS4. Unless, of course, it sucks, then I won't. I could go next gen with just my 3DS.

Not entirely true. When I went to cancel one of my Gamestop orders today (because they told me they wouldn't have it until at least Friday), they had actually just got it in stock. 2 days earlier than anticipated (and only 2 days late)...
They are out there now, at least, though still probably in limited quantity.
