I haven't played the demo, but yes. From my experience with DMC 1 and 3 they're basically button mashers with funky controls for people who play it fancy.

Well if you mash buttons you die so that is not accurate but you do have to play fancy.

Hey, I'm going with a less detailed, less colourful, less sharp picture. Sacrificing all of that for less jaggies, less murky details and less bad shadows. I'm going for coherency over graphical wizardry.

Double Dragon Neon is pretty damn cool. Much better than I expected it to be.

Sega needs to make a new Streets of Rage!

Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd you steal our garbage?!! may have turned out to be a little disappointing in the gameplay department, but soundtrack-wise? BEST. EVER!!

I humbly submit this song to be the official theme song of The VG Press! You can listen to it in it's entirety here!

Probably 2 or 3. The 1st one was awesome too.

I am a good picture whore. I'd rather have stable frame rates less going on, less detail but more polish. All I want in this game is smooth shadows, smooth frame rate, no dithering, less pop up, less jaggies. I would take a less busy, smaller world that runs and looks better. I hate when devs try and push something to the point where performance chugs.

Also I have noticed that playing games on a smaller 20 inch 720p tv is better than a giant hdtv, especially a 1080p one. Resolution mismatch ftw. I guess I'm very sensitive to picture quality. Wii on an sdtv didn't bother me because everything was soft and on a consistent level most of the time and stong art won out. Hdtv games where you make out every ugly pixel annoys me. I used my 360 on a small hdtv so I guess it looks better. If I put it on the big plasma I guess I would have the same problem with many games.

And it feels like it too.

Prevented me from making sweet love this weekend, and caused me to step on and break my reading glasses when I woke up. Fuck my life.

God damn I hurt this morning, but I had so much fucking fun last night. A new bar opened in town call the BART. It's a bar/arcade/art gallery. And while the art gallery isn't much to speak of the bar and arcade parts were more than enough. Lots of craft beers (I was drinking some weird Japanese beer with a cute owl on it for most of the evening), and got my fill of Q*bert, Ms. Pac-Man, Centipede, Burger Time, and Street Fighter II: CE. They even had a Player's Choice console in the back with Super Mario 3 on it. Lots of fun. If this place was about 5 miles closer I'd likely be in a lot of trouble.Fortunately it's just far enough away that my liver is spared.

Out in the wilderness in ac3. It's better out here. You have to fight the controls a lot but it's sorta worth it.

Sounds awesome! I haven't seen a Q*Bert or Burger TIme arcade machine since the late '80s. Sad

This place is pretty cool. I was thrilled to get play an actual Q*bert machine. Every time I've come across one over the past few years it always seems to be broken. They've got about a dozen games on hand, but from what I was told, the owner rotates them with other ones every month or so. A very (over)enthusiastic regular struck up a conversation with me and told me originally they had Frogger, Pac-Man, and a few other but those had been rotated out and replaced with several of the others that were currently there. I thought that was a neat way to keep things fresh, or at least as fresh as you can when you've got arcade games that are on average 30 years old.

I'm actually really impressed how Orlando is getting stuff like this. For too long this city has been nothing but theme parks, but over the last few years a lot of interesting bars and restaurants and such have been popping up for the locals. Bout freaking time I tell you.
