Wont be in town![Sad](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-frown.gif)
It kinda sounds like they ran into the same problems they had in the first game, where its SO ambitious that it may hurt the game in some ways. Maybe not totally fleshed out ideas. I can't wait to see.
Disney has pretty much just guaranteed that Star Wars will live on until the collapse of civilzation itself.
By the way: Thanks everyone for the well-wishes last night. Thanks for the concern today. LOTS of devastation around me right now. Family's homes have been flooded. Trees are down. Lights are out all around me. Traffic lights included. Somehow I managed to keep electricity, but it was BAD last night. I was actually quite nervous! I've got A LOT of work ahead of me, assisting people around me. I still have to get to the city tomorrow (via car service as all MASS TRANSIT and Subways are GONE for the time being)...
It's a lot to take in, and, quite frankly, I'm exhausted. I'm not ignoring anyone, or the situation, I'm just posting as normal cause it just feels good to do so!
I hope everyone else is OK too. Edge... Storm was heading towards Canada last I heard, but dying down. Stay safe, Yoda, Archie and GME, just in case!
Lest I forget: Live is working for me now too. Fairly consistently. Don't know how or why, but I'm not going to question it. Too tired!
You near New York? I'm near Pittsburgh and the worst time for us was 1 AM.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
New York, yes. I lost track of time after a while. I think I just surrendered and went to sleep around 10-ish... The force of the winds; I've never heard anything like it. It sounded as if mortar shells were falling outside my home and elephants were headbutting the wall behind my head. Can't really do it justice to describe it, as I've never experienced anything like it in my life before.
About a minute...
It's freaky. I don't know how I --DO-- have power! Traffic lights are out. Blocks without end, out. 90% of the homes on Long Island are without power, but not me! There's 6 million homes with out power between NY and NJ and I'm NOT one of them!
I'm lucky in that regard, not so lucky in others...
You are one lucky bastard Leo, but then again after all the crap you've been through in the past year or so, I think it's safe to say you were due.
I hope the flooding in your families' homes wasn't too bad, Leo! Glad to hear that you have power, though.![Happy](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-smile.gif)
Got a review copy of Deadlight. (Good to be back; thanks for the opportunity, Chris!) Leo, you were the one here that really enjoyed it, right?
I enjoyed it for the nostalgia value. It is very reminiscent of Out of this World or Another World, Flashback or Prince of Persia... Puzzle Platformers that just aren't made anymore! It's short but sweet. A good weekend's worth of fun!
Did I say 6 million homes without power? It's up to 8 million and 46 deaths in the tri-state area.
Damn, that's awful.![Sad](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-frown.gif)
I can't get over NYC...
Subways flooded and completely closed. The City's at a standstill and that blows my mind more than anything!
According to wikipedia it's killed someone in each country that it's gone through now.![Sad](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-frown.gif)
Completely, totally and utterly restless. I obviously have a lot on my mind. I was taking a shower about an hour ago when I realized: I've been living where I have been living for like a year or so now. I never go anywhere but to the train from my home. Sure, I've passed by other blocks in cars and such, but I've never really paid attention to the area surrounding me all that much. I showered, got dressed and went for a walk around the neighborhood at 10:30 at night. It's actually a nice night out tonight. Warm temp but cool breeze. It's exceptionally dark, but light enough to see where I am going. Although there's a smell of fallen trees and freshly broken wood all around, there's a fall-ish kinda smell to the air too, which is nice. There's a lot of beautiful homes around my neighborhood. A lot more than I initially thought because a lot of them are set back from the road behind other homes. I could see in some windows as I passed. A lot of families doing typical stuff, getting ready for bed and such, watching TV (the ones with power)... It's actually a really nice place, but before tonight I never had the notion to take notice. I guess I almost felt compelled to do it just in case anything ELSE happens and I don't have the chance. Dunno. Feeling rambly. You'll have to pardon me.
Hey. I just realized what day it (almost) is!
Happy Halloweenie, Gents!
Yup its pretty freaky and thats that you got a tame hurricane in terms of wind. The howling is what I will never forget, it keeps on going for hours. The banging of the windows, I have giant sliding glass doors, those things were rocking. But the weird stuff happens after when the storm passes and you step out of your house to find the neighborhood looks like a bomb went off. I had a stop sign on the door step after Andrew. Pieces of stuff from who know how far away is scattered everywhere. Its nice to see everyone come together and help everyone out for those days after, then the fences go back up and we never see our neighbors again.
