The virus happens when you encounter someone who has hacked the game and removed their level 50 cap. If you trade weapons with them, you are pretty much assured to be "infected." What it does is switches your difficulty to Hardcore. When you die in this mode, you character is deleted! POOF! This can only happen if you let anyone in your game (Public vs. Private) which I have not.My issues seem to be related to the new Dashboard update. It's kinda scary. If you visit the Live Support page, more and more and more instances are popping up!
I am posting this from my iPod, by the way. Storm has kicked the winds into high gear and my power keeps on going on and off.

Let Cliffy have a go at it. It's not like the franchise is a paramount of untarnished game-design prowess to begin with.
I do. I like it, pretty sleek and shit loads faster than in the previous dashboard.
Wired or Wireless connection?
Fat, 20 Gb, wired. I'm not really comfortable with wireless, so my 360, PC and PS3 are wired. Only the wii is over wireless but only because asshole Nintendo went wireless only and made that USB dongle a pain in the dick to find.
Slim 250 gig wireless new dashboard, not had a problem...
Also have a newer old one with HDMI 20 gig wireless with the old style wireless A transciever.
Yeah I don't get the rejection. I mean, CliffyB surely gets the kind of audience Capcom has been trying to get in bed with ever since RE5.
Yes but he represents the last bit Capcom wants to totally take away the Japaneseness of RE. All he knows is pure shooters so he will make them focus on that. I dont want that. I want crazy shit, I want a game where shooting isnt your only option. I want crazy level design, gigantic GOOD bosses, tons of variety. All things Epic is not that good at.
Capcom needs Mikami or Kamiya, they need the Japanese action guys back not an western one.

Please. The media needs to back up the gamers in this one. It seems as if the new Dashboard update for 360 has made it next to impossible for many gamers to access Live, myself included. Since DL'ing it, many symptoms have occurred that were never there before, and this is a TWO WEEK old system!
Network issues have appeared where my 360 isn't recognizing wireless networks in my area. I am being signed out of Live randomly, or I am not signing in automatically once turning on the console. Trying to go to Network Configuration often freezes the 360 to the point where it needs to be turned off entirely and then turned back on. Often when I simply turn the system on, I'll see the spinning loading circle on the gray screen and the Dashboard never loads.
The Ambassadors of the Official Xbox Support Forums are suggesting things like clearing the system cache, resetting network settings or re-downloading the update. This works only temporarily and it does not seem like Microsoft is acknowledging or looking into the issues!
Read many (Angry) Forums posts Here and Here. If you notice, they have made a new Forum devoted ENTIRELY to the new Dashboard Update. Now why would they do that unless there was something extraordinary going on?
Again: PLEASE! HELP!
