Here is Jeff G's take on Wii U

He doesn't like the part where the hardware interaction takes it out of his comfort zone of regular ass controllers. He's annoyed by the fact that Wiimotes etc will still be around, he doesn't want to deal with that anymore. He imagines the raw power of the next MS/Sony systems will outclass Wii U by a mile and leave it in the dust, thus not providing the place where most important and interesting new games will appear outside of Nintendo's own stuff (which he's grown tired of as well over the years). Basically, he doesn't like that they "designed a console around Pac Man Vs." (paraphrased quote). The whole design philosophy simply doesn't align with his personal tastes or preferences at all. Disappointing that he seems so publicly dismissive of the console at this point?

I'm all over Dishonored and Xcom like flies to a pile of shit.

I know it sounds crazy, but I could tell these were going to be quality games before even playing the full games.

Maybe I should play Origins now that Batman is done...

Just kidding. The game sounds great, same with X-Com. I'll certainly have to pick them up later on down the road after a few other purchases. They'll likely be cheaper as well which will certainly be a bonus.

I was actually more concerned about the XCOM review, as it is not exactly the type of game that is "popular" these days and was the one I was anticipating MOST. Dishonored always had me intrigued, but didn't have the nostalgia factor attached to it. Rumors have it, XCOM will be doing just as well or better than Dishonored though. I am getting both on Tuesday, along with:

You really should. Excellent 2-D platformer. The more I think about it though, I'm probably better off with it pushed back a month or two. Already have one 2-D platformer to play with Mario. I'll look into something else now. Maybe Zombie U.... or Skylanders!!!!
