Can I borrow your time machine so I can go back to 2010 and change my vote to Xenoblade?

Yes Iga, you need a time machine to simply say Xenoblade is the best game that came out in 2010.

Read the sentence again. Key word being vote! Your system does not allow us to vote for games that take a long time to be localized.

Those rumours are fake.

768 MB embedded RAM is way way way way too much.

It would blow pretty much everything including your Wii-U's heatsink straight out of the water.

You're the mayor in Animal Crossing 3DS, you have a secretary and there is a large beach and a shopping mall across the railtracks. You can take your furniture to the store to be customised and you can change the exterior of your house, including outer walls, mailbox and fence posts. You can visit strangers houses picked up via streetpass and there is an estate agent. The entire village is much bigger.

I hope I will not be a sucker and buy another AC.

I'm done with the series. City Folk killed it for me.

My wife and kids are STILL playing City Folk on an almost daily basis. o_O Fiirst Animal Crossing game in the household so it's kind of understandable, shitty design decisions and all.

I was thinking of getting my wife a 3DS with AC whenever it came out on 2012, but apparently she's not that interested in playing the game on a tiny-ass screen. I feel like I dodged a bullet in there since AC being a 3DS title seemed to me like one of the very few games that could effectively be a system seller for me. Maybe when the thing goes down in price to 100 I'll think about it. In the meantime, I think GoVacation will make for a perfect Christmas gift for my wife.

I have a system? I dont mind localization much cause basically everyone in that region is waiting for the game to hit, its not the same as ports of a game that has been out for years.  Its the ports to other consoles where it gets repetitive, like RE4 being released almost every other year, still it will forever be a 2005 game. Same with OoT, it is a 1998 title no matter how many times it gets rereleased. So you should stick with the year it gets released in your region first, that is the year of its release.

Which is exactly the same rule we have in the VG Press GoTY voting. Might change that a bit to not allow the same person to vote for the same game twice in consecutive years and allow persons to vote for games they imported from other regions.

No. Nyaa

Your mama.

IGN:

After a long stretch of silence, more news on Animal Crossing 3DS has finally surfaced. As posted on the page of YouTube user NintenDaanNC, a new developer roundtable with producer Katsuya Eguchi has been released highlighting some changes fans can expect to see in this new entry. You'll find the full video below.

Shocking stuff, indeed. To start, the roundtable revealed that you're now going to be the mayor of your village. No word on what this means for the game's former mayor, Tortimer, but we'll reveal more on this startling development as it unfolds. As always with Animal Crossing, you have the option of either working really hard or not doing much at all, whatever tickles your fancy. This means you can be a bad mayor, and make the ghost of Tortimer cry a river, or a really good one and improve your town as much as you can. As mayor you'll have the option to change the look of your town, adding things like benches and street lamps to spruce things up as you see fit.

We'll find you, Tortimer... that's a promise. *sniff*

As we already knew from previous trailers and screenshots, your character will also have a longer body. This will shake up the style side of things, which should please those hard-working Able Sisters. Now tops and bottoms will be separate, and more options will be available. One notable difference is that girls will be able to wear pants (maybe next up they'll get the right to vote!), and guys will be able to wear skirts, if that's how they get their jollies. Animals will look different too, as their size will be altered to better capture the animals they represent. Small creatures like Pecan the squirrel will be smaller, while large creatures like Curt the bear will be larger.

The village itself will see some changes too. It will be the largest it's ever been, with an especially expanded beach for players to swim and run around barefoot on (both activities are new additions as well). There will also be a railroad track, with a shopping mall situated on the other side. Whether this is the bad mall on the wrong side of the tracks remains to be seen, but perhaps there isn't a wrong side of the tracks in Animal Crossing. Perhaps that's the beauty of the game. Perhaps.

Pool party, yahoo!

But back to these earth-shattering changes. Familiar characters will be making a return as always, but there will also be some new additions to the Animal Crossing family as well. As mayor, you'll now have a secretary to help you carry out your mayoral duties. She's supposedly quite exuberant, but a bit clumsy - so she might not make for the best secretary, but it's a good bet she'll provide some good comic relief from the serious, serious world of AC.

In the decorating department, you'll now be able to have your own furniture made at the shop. You'll be able to take an existing piece there and do things like change out the cushions for a different pattern. You can change the exterior of your house now too, altering things like walls, fences and mail posts. Using StreetPass you'll be able to exchange house designs with friends and strangers, and the houses you receive this way will go on display at the edge of town as model homes.

It's my house, I can decorate it however I want.

Which brings me to the most shocking revelation of all. It's about Tom Nook. Take a deep breath folks, but according to the video, Nook has gotten himself a new job as a fancy real estate agent. I suppose it's no surprise, since he's been dabbling in the business for years now, but we're a bit concerned as to what this means for the fate of Nook's Cranny. Perhaps the Tanuki's kiddos will take over? Or maybe everybody's favorite potential mafia member will just double task? Only time will tell.

That wraps up the big news from the developer roundtable. If you skipped the video, you might want to jump to nine minutes in, where one of Animal Crossing 3DS' new songs is showcased by the game's music director. And remember to keep it here on IGN 3DS for all the latest on this game and more.

I sold my copy last year for $15 on Ebay. You might have to wait until after Christmas to find a good deal on it, though. I have no idea why it's still fairly expensive. It should be $5 by now.

Picked up a new LED samsung. Smart TV, Series 6, 40", pretty nice deal all things considered. It had a hefty discount and came bundled with a BluRay. Should arrive later today.
