Sony was this week left reeling from another assault on its PlayStation and SOE security networks, with as many as 100 million accounts targeted and about 93,000 compromised.

The security scare comes after Sony spent two months rebuilding its online network to protect it from hackers. In April, the group discovered that more than 100 million of its online accounts had been compromised.


The latest attack appears to be an attempt to gain access to user accounts through password guesses.


Hackers launched a massive log-in process across both networks’ 100 million users, though the phoney passwords only allowed access to about 93,000 accounts.


Accounts that were illegitimately accessed have ben temporarily locked, Sony said.

The PlayStation group claimed that the passwords used for the log-in attempts were obtained from other sources.


“The overwhelming majority [were] failed matching attempts, so it is likely the data came from another source and not from our Networks,” the company claimed.


“There were approximately 93,000 accounts globally where the attempts succeeded. Only a small fraction of these 93,000 accounts showed additional activity prior to being locked. We are currently reviewing those accounts for unauthorized access, and will provide more updates as we have them.


“As a preventative measure, we are requiring secure password resets for those PSN/SEN accounts that had both a sign-in ID and password match through this attempt,” Sony added.

Oh, and Gabe Newell......dude, you're out of your tree. Valve is a great 1st-person developer, and Steam is an excellent online service, but some of the stuff Gabe spouts is just.....stop. Just stop.

I did not expect to find myself playing hours on end for this. Exploring the island alone for treasures/new activities is just so...They just had to hit my soft spot for exploration in sandbox games, and they nailed it so good it hurts...

Some games are deeper than others. A few are cute mini-games, others can be pretty exciting. Ironically, Volleyball, one of the first things you do that you initially play in super casual mode, turns really exciting once you can play with nunchuk and manually move your character around. Multiplayer with it is amazing.

I really like the Jet Ski physics I dont want to get crucified here but I think it plays about as good as waverace.

The water physics in general are really good which carries over to surfing too.

The main thing I was worried about was that the exploration would be limited to just walking around between linked minigames but you do have more freedom. There are jet skis lying around that you can hop on and just go freestyle for a while and explore by water.

There are rings and ramps to play around with and theres no time limit.


I actually like the sky diving just for the view you get of the island. You literaly feel like you can jump out of the plane sky dive all the way down to the ground and start running around. Its not quite that linked but I did get that feeling.


Only thing I wish is that the different jet skis and ATVs that you find would have different specs power-wise but so far they all seem about the same.

Fucking Metal Gear Solid 2's intro and music....so fucking jizz-worthy.
