Cute! How old is your nephew? I want to introduce my two year old to gaming, but don't want to start off with some Elmo crap.
I'm eagerly awaiting the Star Wars Blu Rays so I can introduce my nephew to those. He's seven and hasn't seen them yet. My sister is odd.![Nyaa](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)
You could probably introduce him to gaming. I was 2 when I started. I was terrible but it was fun.
My Nephew started the same age I did. I started him off with my NES games. He is Five now his favorite game is Super Smash Bros. Brawl. He also likes Mario and Sonic games.
Although he didn't play Paper Mario because I thought it would be too complicated for him since he wanted to play Thousand Year Door.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:

He is two and a few months. I gave him a choice of Mario games and he chose Galaxy 2, he was having fun until I got to Bowser which scared him. He was the one that said he wanted to see him, no clue who taught him who Bowser was.
It's DQ, without high expectations what is there for it? It's a franchise of Final Fantasy caliber (well, bigger sales - in Japan - with fewer entries outside spin offs) but without the decline. Not some second rate lower budget deal aimed at a niche audience like Tales of. It's an AAA JRPG series. One of the few. There have been a few duds that usually people like less rather than actually hate. Though it tends to be more traditional so it doesn't often attract new fans, having pure turn based combat and all for example.
There was only one PS2 game. It's hard to find a good video just look up screenshots and information for VIII. With IX they've not used random battles and instead have the monsters show and only initiate combat when you touch them, and had your characters change in appearance based on their equipment, etc, and all that on the DS, though they went back to a top-down ish view since it's not exactly a 3D powerhouse. It was also heavy on side content like Xenoblade. Hell, Square's better PSP games surpass most others' Wii titles...

Travo if you can stand it Wii Music is a good starter game for a kid his age. That along with Wii Play were the first games that my son played. Wii Music worked a little better though as there was no way to lose and he'll really feel like he's doing something. Some of the simple coloring games on the DS are good too, but at that age they do tend to have trouble being gentle with the stylus.
On that note when my daughter was around 3 we got her Blue Clues game for the Playstation. The game however was harder than hell though. None of us could figure out how to play it. We'd just walk around and that was about it.
*Finished inFAMOUS 2 this weekend*
*Restarted the beautiful, bloody mess that is The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile!*
*Played a good amount of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked!*
Oops! Forgot I played a good amount of Deus Ex too! Made no progress though...
...I also played a bit of Super Meat Boy, Pinball FX2 and Final Fight Double Impact!
I have been a bit mentally burned out lately and needed A LOT of distractions!
Oh, and by the way...

Starter game for children? GTA? No need to start on boring games!![WinkWink](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-wink.gif)
I've been playing Sam and Max: The Devil's Playhouse. Kinda weird playing 5 episodic games as the one game, though.
And some FIFA and Killzone 2 and 3.![Nyaa](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)

55 mins for the Dragon Quest reveal. Everyone @ GAF staying up to see DQX, I'll laugh if it's some PSP spin off.

I said GTA, not GTAIV.
Well, they revealed Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes! It looks (at least graphically) like DQ8, which is a very good thing. I think it is for the Wii, but the presentation is in Japanese and I'm not quite sure yet!
