I don't know what it is exactly, but that Greg Miller guy on IGN ---REALLY--- gets on my nerves. He is the very personification of overly-excited, ridiculously annoying, gaming-website guy. Totally seems like the money-hat type. I was convinced I was NOT buying Dead Island a few days ago, HIS review DID NOT change my mind. It annoyed me more than anything else, as did his overly excited Preview video from a few days ago. BUT... I normally LIKE games like this...
Disgaea 4 is coming out the same day and that's a DEFINITE. Resistance 3 is the same day too, and that's a strong maybe. I won't have time to play 3 of them. I was expecting a BAD review for Dead Island, the completely harmless "8" he gave the game with the vanilla description... It was akin to reading the back of the box, really, albeit to the tune of an overly excited, practically-adolescent narrator... He did not change my mind, but seeing the videos of the type of game it is, made me more interested. Dunno, I want it in spite of the ADD reviewer. Blech. I hate indecision!

I've never played a DQ game but aren't your expectations a little high for this?

I killed Zeke a couple of times because he was running so slow so I started shooting Lighting at him and puching him after about 4 or 5 hits Zeke died.
I haven't played inFAMOUS 2 yet.

I've been playing a lot of Borderlands. 25 hours, trying to reach and kill some motherfucker named Krom. Some of the sidequests, even though they are "shoot something" kind of stuff, still manage to entertain. Like Skagzilla:
Its sidequest is called Big Game Hunters, appropriately.
I played a lot of Uncharted 2 this past week. A lot! I also picked up Deus Ex this weekend and am in my first playthrough. I think I 've put in about three hours so far.
Yeah, both Moe and Marley. Fought them at the same time to make sure I wasn't going to be bored.
Lot of gaming for me this weekend since the wife is out of town. LBP2 with a friend - I've decided that LBP was a much more fun stor, but this one has better multiplayer. Regardless I don't like it. Also Marvel v. Capcom 2, SF3 Third Strike, and Pac-Man CE Deluxe to get my high score back from Vader which I have and am now in the process of utterly crushing him for even trying to challenge me.
So I am with my little nephew, he wanted to play some games he said "cars!" so I had to find something with cars. Sadly almost every game with cars had giant patches so i couldn't start them, I just told him they were broken. So I figured, oh man I have Sonic racing, I can get him to love one of the greatest characters of all time, Sonic. So I showed him Sonic, got him all excited for Sonic and he loved the game. But soon after he didn't want to play as Sonic, he wanted the other characters. And after like 30 minutes he went to my game collection and said "Mario!" and pointed at Paper Mario cause it has mario on the spine. So I asked "no more Sonic?", he replied "turn off! put Mario!"
Oh well he has good taste at least.
