Wow that sounds so weird, not sure if it makes me want to play it more or less.
I just started back at work earlier this week and didn't feel like posting anywhere at all. I've mostly worked, ate and slept the last couple of days. I game a little, beating Resistance, playing Outland and starting Killzone 2 today.
Killzone 2! I know I shouldn't compare this to Resistance, but OMG, It's so much better! Presentation, audio, gameplay! It's all several notches above and beyond, even though I realize that Resistance is a launch game and I should reserve judgment till I've played through R2. Killzone 2 is amazing so far, maybe even slightly better than 3. Its hard to describe what makes this game feel special, but there's certainly a lot of careful attention to detail in this small disc. This game came out in 2008, but looks better than a shit ton of games out this year. As someone who never played the series until KZ3, it's amazing how refined the series was before. Almost all of the gameplay elements that made 3 so fun are in this game. Even the multiplayer, the teensy bit of mp that I've played, is similar. Leo, Yoda, Archie, whoever, get this game! Foolz, I know you have this game. Let's get our mp on!
Your Pikmin with guns made me think more of Cannon Fodder though, is it more like that?
Regardless if it is, thinking of it makes me obligated to post this.

while the pessimist fears this is true.

"Foolz, I know you have this game. Let's get our mp on!"
Yes sir. And don't worry you don't have to blame Travo for making me play it again as I've been doing that on my own recently.
I think you should play it. I'm not the biggest fan of the gameplay myself, but it's the story that keeps me going.
Be better off remaking KOTOR II, since that game kinda wasn't finished...then people can see why I keep saying KOTOR II is better than the original!
Though I'd kinda go with a remake of Morrowind also...even if they just fixed up the journal stuff (which if I remember, was a fucking pain).
KOTOR 2 was a damn good game, I loved it. I don't know if I liked it more than the original, but it had a very cool vibe to it, and an even darker tone...almost like Majora's Mask to Ocarina Of Time. In fact, yes, that's the perfect way to describe it.
How does Resistance compare?
I'm disappointed I never got to finish that game. It glitched on
me during a pivotal point in the game.
Check these Dragons Dogma pics
I played it a very long time ago. It's not like Commando at all but sort of like Cannon Fodder though I don't remember it being so action focused as that was. In terms of presentation only, it had a steampunk vibe about it, sort of like a Shadowrun like atmosphere only nowhere near as good.
BTW did anyone play Shadowrun in the 90s? Me and my bro loved that game.
I know that there are like 4 people here who even have the chance to buy this game - but some of the new videos in the thread are genuinely eye opening, impressive stuff. Check out if you're bored.
I assume you will be getting Xenoblade day one GG. Sounds like your next big game.
Other games work?
I hope so.
I played a fair bit of the Genesis version. It is indeed a very distinctive game, one that I enjoyed very much.
Herman Cain, a Republican presidential candidate from Georgia, doesn't only want to catch the executive seat; he's on a quest to catch the public's attention, the media's focus and probably a baseball or two. In other words, what's we're getting at is this: he's gotta catch 'em all. In Thursday night's Republican primary debate in Iowa, Cain quoted "a poet" as having once said, "Life can be a challenge, life can seem impossible, but it's never easy when there's so much on the line" (3:31 below). These are lyrics from "The Power of One," a song written for Pokemon: The Movie 2000 by "poet" Donna Summer.
This could be dismissed as a charming flub, if only it was the first time Cain had used Pokemon lyrics in a political speech. Cain quotes the line on what appears to be his official website (attributing it to the 2000 Olympics closing song, which it's not), at his official campaign announcement in May, and at the Republican Leadership Conference in June. Maybe it's a secret message that if he wins the presidency, he'll replace all US court systems with Pokemon tournaments, because that's the only way to be sure justice is truly upheld. Maybe.
