This is the Cherry Ultraslim 4100. It's a mechanical keyboard, which means it comes equipped with the awesomeness that is clicky typing

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileI do miss clicky typing.
Japan 3DS gets 3D Twinbee
Oh man I'd like to have this. Well I'd like to play it once. I'd really much prefer a new Twin Bee game or maybe finally get a translated version of that Super Famicom TwinBee game that was pretty much Konami's attempt to make a Sonic game.
True, almost like it was a PS3 mandate from Sony, that to combat Microsoft and Xbox 360 all PS3 developers had to create more Xbox style software, instead of what they normally did. That's the vibe I've always gotten out of it. But at least Uncharted and to a lesser extent Infamous were exciting. Resistance is just cookie cutter.
You did fine, we just needed a third person. I had played that level the night before, so I knew what was coming, so I looked more competant than usual. Ammo is a reall issue on teh Sanctuary level.
I bought 4 IBM 6326's about ten years ago so I'd always have a big chucnk, clicky keyboard.
Welcome to five years ago. Both ND and SP have said (when their current gen games came out) that they were now finally able to make the games they always wanted and that the earlier games were stylized due to technical limitations. That's what they said at least.
On Resistance, I think it got the opportunity to have sequels simply because it was the only game on the PS3 for about a year. You had to buy it if you had a PS3 because there was simply nothing else to buy. I thought the game was pretty average, but the vehicle levels were truly mediocre.
I can tell I'll be playing Morrowind for the rest of the year at this point (or until it kills my XB).
All this game needs is a shotgun and an ATV and it'd be perfect.
Amazing game.
I think this one has great potential. Maybe it's going to be (in?) the next Portal? It's of course a bit too early to tell, but incidentally it has spawned from the same school as Portal's progenitor, Narbacular Drop. Download. You need to have Steam and Source SDK as it's a Source modification, though any game ownership shouldn't be required (and if it is, you can always get Team Fortress 2 for free, which you should do anyway).

while the pessimist fears this is true.

World of Warcraft Subscriptions Continue to Drop
I know that Blizzard has said that its membership has dropped because its players have gotten so good that they play through expansions faster than they can create new ones, but I think there's more to it than just that. That's an entirely valid point, but ever since WoW hit that 6 year mark they've been on a pretty steady decline. Same way EverQuest did. EQ actually hit on year 5 but EQ also never had the numbers that WoW did, plus there hasn't been a new solid MMO for those players to jump to the way that EQ players jumped to WoW. But I think we've now seen that the 5 to 6 year mark is about as long as one of these games can really keep a wide audience. I think the only thing that's standing between their current population and a serious crash in it is The Old Republic.
Yeah, it really is. Unlike in Oblivion they pace the main story, so you have to do side missions, so it's going to take me a long time. It really is amazing though, I don;t know how they were able to create a world that is more than the sum of its parts.
Agreed. Their explanation is a good effort, it's about the best spin you can put on it (people love us so much, that's why we're in deceline"). I bet the pressure is on to get Diablo 3 done and out the door so they can get Titan launched ASAP. WoW will continue on forever, but if they want to get back to where they were they need a replacement.
Of the critics who have seen and played TOR, I have not heard any excitement whatsoever. But just being something new may be enough, if EA prices it right. They've already said they are going to market the crap out of.
I just updated my backloggery, haven't done so in a while.
http://backloggery.com/dvader
My most accurate guess at how many unique games I have beaten (meaning 50 different versions of RE4 don't count separately) is 569. Still nothing compared to Leo but I am getting there. I have also gone back and adjusted all sports sims to null, meaning they cant be beat. There is no true ending to those games, yeah you can win the "championship" but that doesn't mean much.
My official backlog is now at 135 games. About 110 of which I dont care to ever play.
Why is there no voice acting in Epic Mickey?!?! Its one of the most iconic voices of all time, its a huge part of his character and you don't hire voice actors. What is this crap. Its part of why this feels exactly like anPS1/N64 era game.
Oh I just found robo Goofy, so cool. But you know what would be better if ROBO GOOFY WOULD FUCKING TALK!
EDIT: OMG Mickey Mousecapade NES carts!
Aspro, you have seen the light when it comes to Morrowind. Congratulations.
Boring bastards.
"There's something about that voice, you know?" Spector said in his best high-pitched Mickey impersonation, before returning to his normal voice. "It's hard to accept that as a really big hero. I wanted people to accept this guy as a hero, and so I kind of made an early decision that we wouldn't have speech in the game."
Then another time he said,
""I made the creative decision that characters wouldn't talk in the Cartoon Wasteland. It was entirely a creative decision because [he begins speaking in a high-pitched Mickey voice] AS SOON AS I START DOING THIS, I'VE LOST MY POTENTIAL AUDIENCE. [resumes natural voice] If I'm trying to re-introduce this character to an audience, there are certain connotations with that voice that I'm going to have a hard time overcoming." - Warren Spector"
Since his explanations are so lame I'm guessing it was a Disney thing. I bet they have their approved voice actors for Mickey and for whatever reason they didn't want them to do anythgin other than film. Who knows. Maybe it was as small a thing as budget.
It was to save money. Nothing else. Disney and Spector probably figured Nintendo fans are used to having no voice acting anyway, so why spend the $$$$?
