That's cool that Rain is being brought into the game. He was always one of the greatest fake characters fo all time. We all saw him in the pre-game trailer for UMK3, but no one would figure out how the hell to unlock him. God for all the time we spent trying to figure it out and then get the official word he wasn't real..... made me cranky back when I was 18.

Nope. Rain was not in the original UMK3 arcade game. He was later added in the UMK3 Gold Edition for the home consoles however.

Played some DeBlob 2. Or, should I say, tried to play some DeBlob before my daughter (6) swiftly lifted the gamepad from my prying hands. Now I'm watching her play, she's having a blast. Game's quite easy and welcoming to newcomers. It has small tutorial chunks even for the simplest of concepts. Camera is rather loose, however, and even though it's not as intrusive as the one in the first game, it's still not right. Visually is alright, and music is more of the same from the previous game.

Actually, the whole game feels like a retread of familiar stuff. Besides the 2D sections (that add nothing new to gameplay), it feels like the same old thing. I'll have to give it some more time, but this feels too familiar and safe.
