The graphics are too old to just increase the resolution and let it be. Hell Ocarina 3D which is an N64 game remade looks better than this HD Dreamcast port.
Mafia 2 is done. Think it took me about 13 hours. Really solid game, it gets an 8.3 from me. The style and vibe is bizarre, almost like a weird mix of an adventure game mixed with a semi open-world structure. Really nice graphic engine. And the shooting mechanics work better than GTA. Worth playing.
You know Edgecrusher, have you thought about buying a Euro wii from ebay? They are suprisingly cheap, this one has two days left on the auction and its about $4 at the moment. There is a black Wii for all of $12 with 6 days left on the auction. You would have to search for ones where they would post worldwide though, but its an option. All you would need is a travel adaptor for the plug. The second hand ones are pretty cheap and you can get it just to play a few euro games like Another Code, Last Story, Xenoblade, Disaster et al.
Why would anyone buy a euro Wii? Hacking it is so easy and free!
Namco's We Ski team is making another game it looks like - other than Go Vacation.
And it has better fish models than Endless Ocean 2 in some cases - the fish have shaders

In the midst of all the unhappiness with Nintendo there is one little piece of bright news. Final Fantasy III (6) is now available on the Virtual Console.
Geek to your question of buying good games for the Wii, rather than wanting games that have not been released.
You could find 3-4 games in my Wii collection that you would want me to buy that I have not already, but I've been burnt so many times by buying games that people where enthusiastic about that turned out to be poor games. Conduit, Zack and Wiki, Madworld, Fragile, Animal Crossing, Excitebots, Sky Crawlers... that's just off the top of my head. That's why I don't buy GoldenEye or Sin and Punishment 2.
Of the 49 Wii games I have I can count the following as good games, SMG 1 & 2, HOTD: Overkill, LKS, RE4, Boomb Blox, Elebits, Dead Space Extraction and NMH 1 and 2
Would I have bought Xenoblade and Last Story? Absolutely. Pandora's Tower? No, and I don't see any reason why I would want to based on what I've seen of it.
I've completely burnt out on Nintendo at this point, with my collection it is at a 20% hit rate (10 good, 40 poor).

no one was enthusiastic about Conduit and Sky Crawlers.
I bought Conduit because of Geek and Crawlers because of Ask.
You should have avoided those, the critical reception was hardly glowing. Other games like Endless Ocean 2 or Goldeneye, you can't really go wrong. Some of you guys have bought Goldeneye yet only played a couple of levels. Forumers who have played the whole thing have said nothing but good things, it's one of the best single player FPS is years and everyone is avoiding it like it's poo on a stick, even the people who love FPS's. It's really silly.
Also, you should have got the Wii Shattered Memories and not the PSP one. I guarantee that the game would have made a better impression on you if you had done that.
Anyhow I'm not saying that people should not moan about unreleased games - just the people who say that console X is gathering dust when it's their own fault for not buying the good games, that are on the system in the first place. I have barely touched my 360 or Wii in the months since I got a 3DS but there is plenty to play. My 360 is gathering dust because I don't play it, if I wanted to I could buy games from the library I haven't played, for something like a year and a half. Instead I find that people look at future release schedules and say that there is nothing for them to play when they should be looking at a systems library of games and seeing what they don't own already.
BTW, I would not personally reccomend Sin and Punishment 2 but the reviewers seem to love it.
Geek returned Conduit and Ask is batshit crazy like Hamster.
Oh and MadWorld and Zack and Wiki are not poor games. Fragile is broken but still beter than that crap that is Heavy Rain, Exitebots looked awesome never released in Europe might import it., You played Sin and Punishment 1 so you can decide for yourself if two is good, GoldenEye I heard good things, but have not played it yet, when it gets cheap, I will buy.
Oh speaking of poor games, No More Heroes is a poor game, it is pretty shitty. But yet somehow it is awesome, not sure why though.

You can't buy shit games and then complain that they are shit. You are suppossed to avoid them!
EDIT: I got burned on Deadly Creatures and Muramasa too. They are okay but not great games IMO. Not my thing either way. Also I got NIGHTs because it was cheap and I liked the gba nights demo, but the game was shit and I sold it. But again, it hardly got glowing reviews so you really should be avoiding stuff like that. You liked Dead Space Extraction right? Eurocom made that game so you know the goldeneye devs already, it uses the same engine, has the same performance capture but you can freely move about the environments.
See?! This is why you do not listen to GG.
In fairness, I did get 10 good games out of the Wii. I doubt I got that many out of the 360. In a few minutes I'll check. (Though at least the 360 has more JRPG's than the Wii).
EDIT: I just looked through the collection, I have 90 games for it. I got up to ten good games before getting to the G section and then stopped counting.

I pre-ordered Conduit based on yGeek's hype. That game did a lot right, the controls were perfect... oh my god I just remembered the ending of that game. Second worst ending ever (Crackdown has the worse ending).

I beat Condemed and Frontlines on it and played EDF on it at least every weekend (this year, to answer your question). I used it to beat XB Gun and Serious Sam 2, and then it died on me while I was playing Psychonauts.
