They should have changed the name. Like the Darkness 2.
Nintendo did say it WILL NOT play Gamecube games. Additionally, Gamecube controllers will not be able to be plugged into the Wii U.
Yeah, I think it's still up in the air. I would doubt it.
Chad Concelmo <3 talking about the Wii U.
*PS: The Sonic Dog photo was his dog!*
It seems like something they would've mentioned if it was possible.
SF3 sold me with just the amount of work they're putting into it. Oh, and that moment at EVO where the dude parried Chun-Li's Super Art and countered into his own? That's an in-game challenge. Brilliant.
Aspro, the link where Iwata talks about the Wii U's price takes me to a Google site.
Thank you FIXED!
Did you guys see the Old Republic's opening cinematic!?!?!?!?!
OMG!!!!!! OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! ITS BETTER THAN THE MOVIES!!!
Its the single greatest opening cinematic in video game history, bye Onimusha 3, MGS2, and any other contenders.
Apparently, everyone's cure all solution to me being blue is to take me out for about two dozen more drinks than I am used to drinking and getting me shit faced.
Who am I to argue?
Note to self: The "Can you help me get this back in my pants?" gag that works so well in Manhattan doesn't go over so well in a Long Island, family restaurant rest-room. Prudes.
Sega's 20th Sonic birthday party.

Peter Molyneux goes to great length to stress game isn't an on-rails shooter
Oh Peter Molyneux is lying to us again:
It's fair to say that the Fable: The Journey demo was far from a highlight of Microsoft's E3 2011 press demo.
The short snippet of the game demonstrated a sequence where a player was guided through the game world while shooting enemies with their hands.
In truth it was more than a little reminiscent of the Kinect levels from EA's Harry Potter game. Which, incidentally, were broken and slammed by critics.
Indeed, MCV has been less than kind about the Fable showing.
Speaking to OXM after the briefing, the game's lead developer Peter Molyneux apologised for the game's debut.
"I made an horrendous mistake on the press demo on taking out the navigation allowing players to move," he stated. "I'll state on record now that Fable: The Journey is definitely not on rails."
Except it is, ALL media have said it is.
OMG look at the video, he is making journalists sign a board that says its not on rails when it is.

"Journalists" are pathetic to actually sign the wall.
Molyneux
By the way, Mr. Vader, do yourself a favor and go an buy Shantae: Risky's Revenge for the 3DS. NOW!
I'll wait for you here while you do!
Awesome animation, Metroid / Wonder Boy-like adventure...
You ---NEED--- it...
NOW!
GO!
The Shantae design is clearly inspired by the classic Castlevania and Metroid series. It's pure Castlevania in the way players whip enemies into submission (with hair instead of a handheld weapon), and the power-up secondary weapons that you can earn with item purchases. And it's Metroid where areas open up with specific skills earned along the way. In this case, it's animal transformations: turn into a monkey to shrink small enough into tight spots or climb walls, turn into an elephant to smash giant boulders. There's also some truly vicious platforming in Shantae: Risky's Revenge, especially in the monkey transformation areas, and there are points in the game that will put your old-school skills to the test.
Shantae: Risky's Revenge is easily among the top DSiWare games. And just like the Game Boy Color version you'd be making a huge mistake by skipping over this excellent and ambitious action platformer.
IGN 9.0 Review
On one of the giantbomb podcasts, that is exactly how they described it. They said the first words out of Molyneux's mouth was "I'm just going to say this up front. This is not an on-rails game". Then he wrote it on the wall and said, "I'm going to tally a mark everytime I say 'This is not an on-rails game' and when I'm done you are going to sign it on your way out."
Then he showed what was clearly an on-rails game. The journo was thinking in his head, "Maybe Molyneux doesn't know what an on-rails game is. Maybe he thingks if it doesn't have any visible rails it's not an on-rails game." He did not sign the wall.
What I am most interested in seeing with the Wii U is it being applied to mess with your mind via Augmented Reality.
Since the Controller has Cameras on it, there can be something in a game where someone shouts: "LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU!"
You can spin around... and have reality mixed with game elements where there's a Zombie, or any enemy, behind you depicted IN your own room!
Fight this rear-attacker off using the Wii U controller screen, then spin around to continue the adventure on the main screen.
With those cameras, the Controller becomes a Window into a parallel universe to our own where reality and gaming combine!
