Hooked my Xbox 1 up to my SDTV this morning, played the Black demo and I think I might try playing GTA San Andreas again. I wish this game had a GPS like GTA 4.

Rumours:
* A “select group” Virtual Console games will be made available in HD (High Definition) for Project Cafe.
*Not all VC games will be made available in high definition. This is due to the money, time, and effort that would be required to convert each game to high definition. Also, not all classic games convert to high definition perfectly. Each game must be individually re-done to take advantage of widescreen HD resolutions and aspect ratios. They will be re-done similarly to how classic games are being redone to take advantage of 3DS’s 3D capabilities.
*Some SNES/Genesis games won’t ever get a high definition widescreen treatment because they turn into a blurry or pixilated mess when converted to widescreen high definition. This is because they weren’t originally designed with widescreen high definition television’s in mind.
*Virtual console games are transferable to Project Café. But if you want the high definition (HD) version of a Wii 1 virtual console game instead of the standard version you own now, you will have to pay full price for the high definition version.
* Nintendo has found a sneaky way to get you to rebuy games that you already bought on virtual console.
*You will NOT receive a free upgrade from standard definition virtual console game that you bought on Wii 1 to a HD version of the same game. If you want HD version, you have to rebuy the game.
*Sega is getting ready to port some of their “Xbox Live Arcade” Genesis HD games (like Sonic) on Project Cafe’s virtual console service.

They have been doing this for years, it's called the next Nintendo console. I really don't think I can support them anymore. Right now I'm glad I skipped the 3DS, not 1 new must have original game, just the like the Wii and Gamecube.
There are plenty great Cube and even more great Wii games but ignorance is bliss so I'll leave you to it, it's not a discussion I care to repeat so a hit and run remark much like yours will have to suffice. Agreed about the 3DS current state, rather than its potential, but that's in line with pretty much every system launch. What great PS2 games did you get at launch? Ridge Racer? Smugglers Run? DOA2? Dynasty Warriors 2? Fantavision? Lol... Developers don't risk millions into support for an, initially, nonexistent install base when there are plenty systems with millions of active users. The DS was the same but has accumulated a large catalogue of great games, both first and third party. The 3DS will too with games like the new 3D Mario, Resident Evil Revelations and Beyond the Labyrinth. As for the topic there, which was discussing actual re-releases of titles, not 3rd grader "every Mario/Zelda/whatever is the same" bullshit, Nintendo isn't the only one. I can buy PS1 games for my PSP/PS3, there are all sortts of barely enhanced "HD" collections, etc. It's not a trend that started this gen, as the likes of Sega Ages and Namco Museum clearly demonstrate. Old or not, what sells, well, sells.
So anyway, all I've been playing is Gothic II Gold still, what an amazing open world CRPG it is, that just shows how misguided the genre has been in recent years. Clunky and ugly, sure, but oh so good to play and explore.
