Hmm, might think it over then. It's not like I'm desperate for a tactical shooter.
I'd think it was shit like Wanted: Weapons of Fate and Terminator: Salvation making other publishers run for the hills. Oh and their boss being a douche claiming things like Wii games have to sell 3 million to be profitable or how the awesome PS360 would make his games sell gazillions. Bionic Commando would disagree I imagine.
The optimist proclaims we live in the best of all possible worlds
while the pessimist fears this is true.

Log into the website and check your profile there. But if you've not used your real name, then you don;t need ID protection eh?
Blur + Bond + the general market for racing games these days. There is only room for Forza, Burnout and GT5.
It costs too much to make a game and not have it sell well particularly when, as in the case of Bizarre, you are spending other people's money. In the old days when most develpoers were independent or self-publishing they could take a few more misses (or the way they reacted was in their hands). So for example a medium size shop like Interplay could cut back to the bone while they re-build whereas if Interplay was a division of Activision back then, it would have been "3 fails? you're done -- we'll keep the IP thank you very much".
Yeah (I deleted the story incidentally it was a duplicate), but when you read the details it sounded more like a culture clash rather than anything else. Certainly some small annoyances, but nothing that closed them down.
Welcome back Rave!
Just did some research.....
The Advanced Warfighter games are 1st-person shooters on the PC, with an insane difficulty level. Whereas the Xbox 360 versions are 3rd-person with a nice challenge level, which I prefer. I like that they're 3rd-person.
Rainbow Six Vegas is exactly the same on PC and consoles. Though the 2nd game seems to have been a sloppy port that is better on consoles. And Splinter Cell is a series that I just prefer playing on a console, though I believe they're pretty much the same on PC and console.
What I've been playing this week:
Worldwide Soccer: SEGA International Victory Goal Edition, Saturn
It's a solid soccer game, probably my favorite.
Almost finished Max Payne (PS2). It's a very good game, but it has some HORRIBLE levels, like the ones where you have to avoid fire, or the dream sequences where you have to navigate Max over these balancing beam type platforms (which on the PS2 is like moving a refridgerator on ice skates along a 12 inch (30 cm - Iga) wide precipice.
Champions of Norrath, PS2. The wife and I wanted to start a new co-op type game, and since we beat the Dark Alliance games this semed like a natural choice. I was expecting more of a jump from the Dark Alliance games. Still enjoyable.
Duke Nukem 3D, Saturn. This is unplayable. A horrid wretched mess. It's like the Saturn is overclocked, Max moves too way too fast through his highly pixelated world.
Space Invaders Extreme, DS This is a very cool version of Space Invaders, but they could have done so much more. In the end I prefer the original.
Picross 3D, DS. I couldn't put this one down, until I could. I should have done the whole tutorial as, at a certain point, I had no idea what to do next. It was a fun hour though.
Burgertime, NES. I love the music, but never got past the second level. Good for about 20 minutes of fun, just like an arcade game should be.
1943, NES. Same as above.
Super Mario Bros, NES. Playing this in the original format, with the original controller is SO much different than on the SNES or VC. Much easier, the controller is easier to handle/use and Mario moves slower. I was able to get through world 1 and 2 withoyut dieing (and then I lost all my lives at once).
Last Action Hero, SNES. Unplayable.
Darius Gaiden, Saturn. The Fifth Element style opera music, the wonderful bosses and power ups. I'm not a big shooter guiy, but when they are this great... oh man.
World Series Baseball '98, Saturn. Still the best baseball game ever made (though The Show and MVP 2005 come close). Perfect fielding and hitting. Pitching is fun. Baserunning is not perfect. Holds up.
And finally, Cyber Speedway, Saturn. Featuring music by the Bygone Dogs, this zero gravity racer is solid on the track and has so-bad-it's-good cutscenes in between.
And in case you are wondering, "what's with all the retro". This is what happens when Mrs. Aspro is finishing Infamous and starting Yakuza 4. I get the secondary gaming rig.
Slow news day turned around. Name for the NGP, Presidential Witchering, Darksiders 2 and a PS4 development denial...
Sony Vita?
It wasn't that bad. I actually got pretty far in the game back in the day, but never finished it.
Quake on the Saturn was awful, though
Yeah... Is it Vie-Tah? Or as the Brits would say, Vitter? Whatever, you nkew what ever name they came up with people will freak for 3 weeks then adopt it, and before long it's Wii-this and Wii-that.
