Depends how far along DQ10 is.

DQ has always launched on the system with the most install base.

They recently reiterated that DQ10 was coming for Wii.  If Nintendo fucks them and pulls SS... it won't be pretty.  I think to keep the Wii alive (and thus not fuck Square) they have to stick with Zelda on Wii.  Otherwise it will look like a fast retreat.

Aw cmon, Square can put Dragon Quest out on the WiiHD too....it'll be a big party.

I don't see any way how Zelda will not show up on the Wii, and I think all the talk about it is getting kind of silly. There may be a special feature or two built into so that there could be a bonus/incentive to play it on the Wii 2, but it's not going to be delayed so Nintendo can pull a Twilight Princess with it.  Yes the Wii is on a downslide, but worldwide it still sells 400K to 500K units a month. That's not a small number. Plenty of people are still buying it.  Plus there's a huge user base.  Delaying a high profile title from a system with a near 90 million user base  so it can be a launch game for a new console.... what sense does that make? When they did it with Twilight Princess it made sense. The Cube had a low install base and the Wii had serious interest and hype. That's not the same situation this time.  I swear to god if that happens every C-level exec at Nintendo will need to be shot.

In its announcement earlier today, Nintendo stated that it had not included sales of the Wii successor in its earnings forecasts for the current fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2012. You might have guessed that this means a release for the system after that date. This is the case, Iwata confirmed during the press conference. The Wii 2 will not arrive until after April 2012.

Well I am not staying in the city at least for now. I am staying at Huntington Station, east of NYC. Wed I switch hotels, not sure where but I fly out of Newark on friday so I assume its in that direction, meaning wed is still the day I can explore NYC.

Usually they show a playable system at E3 the year it comes out. The year before is usually videos and crap.

Poor devs

The whole PSN thing is starting to remind me a little bit of the gulf oil spill in the way it was first brushed under the rug as a short-term thing, and then started to steamroll as people started to notice that it was a lot worse than first suspected. Honestly I would not be shocked if in 2 weeks this still is not fixed. I don't think it's the biggest fuck-up of the generation, which I still say is a $599 launch price, but if it lasts longer it very well could be.
