Studio Ghibli Raises Its Devil Horns In The Air!!!
Someone has gone and made a compilation of Studio Ghibli theme songs played by metal bands
Coroner Records is really proud to announce the upcoming release of a new album of extreme metal covers of Studio Ghibli songs entitled "Princess Ghibli".
The project called "Imaginary Flying Machines" (from the title of a short film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, which is exclusively shown daily at the Ghibli Museum) puts together bands from Europe and Japan (Disarmonia Mundi, Blood Stain Child, Destrage, Living Corpse and Neroargento) that reinterpret 12 very famous songs taken from the films produced by Studio Ghibli, bringing the soundtracks that have made dream many fans of Miyazaki in a new musical dimension, more aggressive and faster, without ever losing the melody and the magical atmospheres typical of the original versions.
The album has been recorded, produced and mixed by Ettore Rigotti at The Metal House Studio (Disarmonia Mundi, Destrage, Slowmotion Apocalypse, Stigma, etc...) and mastered by Alessandro Vanara.
The album will be released on April 13th Worldwide by Coroner Records (except for Japan, where is released by Media Factory - Overlap Record) in Digital Download on iTunes, Amazon and the most important digital distributors.
You will find the complete track list after the break as well as a short video announcement from the label for the project. Ghibli has never been this brutal before! And I love it!

Why the hell would Retro be making Eternal Darkness 2? I don't believe it. The game didn't sell good enough for Nintendo to have Retro do that over an original game or a Zelda sequel, or Metroid for that matter. I could definitely see Nintendo working with Silicon Knights on a sequel, but not Retro.
SK are doing that X-men RPG right?
No idea. Last I heard they were doing the Too Human trilogy.
In all fairness, not a whole lot did sell on the Gamecube. Still the game has one hell of a reputation and one that keeps on growing. Articles still get written today explaining the concept and talking about how great it was. And Nintendo has used Retro to bring back franchises that had either disappeared or fallen off the tracks. Eternal Darkness does sort of fit that model. Still it would almost be a big risk assigning them a game that is stll technically just a cult hit. I like the idea though, but I also doubt it'll happen. I'll just cross my fingers that it'll happen.
Or maybe Nintendo will use this opportunity to finally bring back Balloon Fight.
Sonic Generations extended gameplay footage!!!
ITS PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!
Looks great D. No wonder they took down that fanmade game.
Tasty nugget of info:
Nintendoy spent a rather huge amount in 2007, $370 million to be exact, after spending $103 million in 2006 (and only $34 million in 2003). Several sites considered that fact newsworthy back then. Yet it seems like they spent another $370 million in 2008, $430 million in 2009, and $489 million in 2010. Almost $2 billion in R&D since the launch of the Wii.
Fucking stupid hackers!!!!! I want Sony to destory them all, get them all in jail, sue them so bad their unborn kids will have to pay too.
So what happened was this Mega man legends 3 switched from DS to 3DS?
I only because it might give me some hope for Ace Prosecutor 2 being moved onto 3DS.
Wait, pay for Prototype and the whatsit?
Please SEGA, do this for Shenmue 3. I will pay.
What I don't like about the idea is that its really a game Silicon Knights should make, as its an area they excel at. Retro Studios are not proven Story tellers and that's one of the main things behind Eternal Darkness. Not saying it couldn't be great, but it just seems odd compared to what they COULD be doing.
More Portal. Finished the first, moved on to the 2nd. Links are spoilery. After that it's Portal 2.
