The average gamerscore is only 11,286? Pffft. Peanuts. Right now mine is almost 7x that at 74,005.
Anyway I like to set little goals for myself for my gamerscore, usually yearly goals. For example my goal for this year is to hit the 85K mark. Ultimately my overall goal is to reach 100K before Microsoft's next console launches.Mine is only 7K I think. I'm cool with that, most of my multiplats are on PS3.
Or even remember a time when we didn;t have gamerscores and achievements. Thank you MS! I recall how much crap people where giving them before it came out about both of those features.
Same thing happened when they copied the Mii's and and avatars to replace gamercards -- in fact I think the hardcore revolt was even more vociferous on that one.

What a load of crap. Honestly this guy isn't at a point where he should be recognized as having an opinion for anything other than maybe how to make a successful mobile game. When he publishes another game that hits Angry Birds heights I'll start to listen, but right now it's still just a one hit wonder. If the Sims taught us anything, it's that just because one game crosses demographic boundaries and becomes wildly successful it doesn't mean that a trend has been established.
Anyone that likes adventures and/or puzzles and has access to a DS --MUST-- go out and get 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors NOW!

Sorry, back in the 80's when this song was written, they didn't have things like laptops and iPhones to keep them busy when they were drifting, so they WERE alone. You're not, and 'sides I can't see you singing this song, you don't have the long blonde, feathery hair to pull it off...

Yeah it's true I love that song. Plus the video has Tawny Kitaen who at the time was the hottest woman on the planet... unfortunately she also proves the point of the old idiom of, "the hotter the body, the more psycho the head."
For the record though, I was always a much bigger fan of The Cult. Most underrated band ever in my book.

No I've got to disagree with you on this. Sure people need distraction and that's all well and good, but no one needs distraction like that. A disaster game is just reminding them of the tragedy of what happened. Besides it's just bad PR to release a game like that following an event like this. Maybe nothing would happen, but it's not worth facing any potential reprocussions when delaying the game for a few months can essentially eliminate the problem all together.
