Spector's works is all over the place genre-wise. He did the Wing Commander games, Deus Ex, the Thief games, and a few others that were well received. As far as important "firsts" I thiink it's more notable that Epic Mickey is his first console game.

By the way, when did we start giving a crap about MTV.com's reviews? Are they a good source or not? I've never really taken the time to read their reviews, but I can't force myself. Maybe it's the old man in me, but I don't think I can ever see them as a credible source for anything other than music.... crappy music.

Okay, so McShea loved Goldeneye and says SMG2 is his GOTY. So now what? I don't know why you are so vested in other peoples opinions. If you want to be astonished with someone read the video comments on his review. It makes the most annoying comment you'll read on this site seem like Shakespeare.

I agree entirely, but Geek says that is not in the instruction manual, so it's understandable (and no-one has said if it's in the tutorial or not (ags says he thinks it was).

I'd be interested to find out (ROBIO) if it is in the North American instrucion manual (use C to lock-on).

*yeah yeah I'll get right on that ya bitch* Okay so I just happen to have the instructional manual for Epic Mickey in front of me. According to it the C Button's function is: camera reset to original position. It says nothing more.

Still the Gamespot reviewer has nothing to complain about. Their review was out a week after everyone elses. They had plenty of time to find that out.

So in practice does C lock-on like in Ocarina or just center the camera? And thank you Robio.

It just centers the camera. It's not a hard lock-on like Ocarina. So I suppose it's really just a convenient technique rather than a programmed solution. And with that, I'm off to play the game.
