Plus fucking one.
I remember being impressed by Daytona Arcade. That song is still stuck in my head.
I also remember getting all excited when I finally got the Dreamcast version back in the day. But I was really disappointed. I didn't enjoy it at all. I don't know why but it didn't feel the same as playing it in the arcades. Maybe it was because the graphics felt dated when I played it since the PS2 just came out.
My favorite arcade racers over the years are:
1. Mario Kart Double Dash
2. Split/Second
3. Pure
4. Burnout Revenge
7. Mario Kart DS
8. Ridge Racer 6
9. MotorStorm Arctic Edge
10. ExciteBike 64
I think if I played NFS Hot Pursuit, going by Leo's love for the game, the reviews, and video previews, it'd probably be top 5 on my list. I got to hand it to the Burnout guys...they really revived the NFS series.

Some new Goldeneye Impressions from GAF
Daytona 2001 (DC) wasn't quite as good as the original but it was still great. I think it still looks very nice with the exception of some elements like the bridge in one of the stages. Really smooth and colorful as ever. The shine effect was weird at first but it grew on me. It was a really, really good update overall. Of course, playing with an analog stick after using an arcade steering wheel with sweet force feedback wouldn't ever feel the same. The default sensitivity settings were a bit too touchy as well, but it didn't take much to adjust them to your liking. Although I still wonder why they didn't bring over Daytona 2 instead of do almost a remake like 2001. I've never played it though so maybe that one sucked, I don't see it talked about much anywhere, people just seem to know of the original, the Saturn ports (one bad, one better), and the Dreamcast quasi sequel. Even the recent arcade reintroduction of Daytona HD (no graphical enhancements other than resolution/widescreen, they just made new cabinets as it's still popular but it was hard and costly to repair such old systems, and got rid of things they no longer have the licence for, like, uh, Daytona, as it's now called SEGA Racing Classic) is just for the original game.

I did too.
Gonna take a niiice looong walk, Get a steaming hot cup of coffee and then stroll over to my local GameStop to pick up...
Damn you New Yorkers and you non-blue laws ways!
In truth, I think the store even opened early today, but I wanna get some coffee first.
I could pick it up... but I'm gonna take my time...
You have a certain favorite coffee shop?
Nah. There's just a StarBucks on 6th Ave. where there's a few people I am friendly with where I occassionally go to hang-out and relax!
No Starbucks for about twenty miles here. I have to get McDonalds coffee.
