Ok Resistance 3 looks good.
Sonic 4 Episode 1 $15, Oct 11.
$15 that is crazy.
Looks like they're going the Square-Enix route with this thing, and making sure that people who buy will eventually pay the price of a full game.
But the good thing here though is that Episode 1 alone is around the size of the Genesis games, well at least Sonic 3. Of course we have come a long way since then.
Played a bit of Front Mission Evolved and I must say, I am impressed!
They managed to get many of the features found in the strategy game into the action game!
You have Right and Left Arm Weapons, Right and Left Shoulder Weapons and a BackPack.
Your Wanzer is composed of Left and Right Arms, Legs and a Torso.
You can assign weapons to your arms and shoulders with the usuals appearing: Machine Guns, Stinger Missiles, Knuckles for Melee Strikes, Shotguns, etc.
You can customize the look of your Wanzer. You can interchange parts and weapons which is, as usual, limited by their weight and the Energy Output of your Wanzer.
In combat you can slide, jump, hover and dodge. You can target SPECIFIC Enemy Parts, like legs to reduce mobility or arms to damage or destroy weapons.
The Wanzers feel appropriately heavy, but can slide and dodge quickly when necessary. This is metered so you can use it only up to a point.
Missions have sub-missions; things often change mid-mission. The environments are pretty large. Exploration is encouraged as 20 Bonus Enemy Sensors are hidden in each stage; You get something for collecting them... What that is, I have no idea, yet!
They got the "look" of the Wanzers "right" too...
...and as usual, Square-Enix shows their ability to make some of the best cut-scenes in all of gaming!
Solid, frantic, balanced, and fun, this has all the traits of a REALLY good game!

From Capcom:
Be sure to pay attention to Capcom Unity tonight at 11PM PST!!
Two new games will be announced. It probably has to do with 3DS.
I am predicting: Mega Man Legends 3DS and Monster Hunter 3DS.
Awesome.
Bleh shitty time limit. How are you supposed to do the side stuff when it rushes you through progressing the story with the alternative of a game over? I had to find that reporter and it had a time limit but I figured I had time to do other stuff, so I did, I rescued various people, crafted weapons, killed zombies to level up, then I reached the reporter just in time but instead of resetting the timer it seems that limit was for that whole story section so it kept running out while following her somewhere until I lost... My save is after my last rescue which means I don't have enough time no matter what... I guess this is why it lets you restart while keeping all your stuff...

Now it's starting to look vageuly interesting, and possibly worth playing over...GTA1 and 2.
Sounds like the first, you are supposed to play the game a ton of times to see it all.
Yeah but the time limit was vague... My objective was just to find the journalist... And I did... But then it kept the same remaining time for the next objective which was to follow her to a surveilance room to get the tapes... Why did that not reset the limit, or why have a limit at all, it made no sense... The tape wasn't going anywhere...
And anyway it's one thing to not let you see all the content in one playthrough and another to have you lose in such ways. How was I supposed to know that would happen? I saw I had enough time for that objective so I saved there... Now it's not actually enough because it carries over... There was no hint or anything... And hell, even with the story's time over, why not let me still try to survive the remaining days even if they have everyone hate me and I get arrested in the ending (the story's main goal so far is to clear your name for something) or something?
Losing like that is just lame and makes the game feel cheap like many of its elements. Outside the overall appearance (which is brought down by lacking presentation in many ways) you wouldn't guess this is supposed to be an AAA game, you'd think it's a quirky downloadable $20 action title... So far at least, I may change mind later. I mean, I don't find anything wrong with the saving system and other core aspects some people were put off by, but there are a ton of smaller or bigger annoyances and clunkyness that bring it all down for me.
More fun than Dead Rising 2.

To anyone on during the Nintendo conference, if you have skype get on and we can have a live chat about it and if you are up for it we can do an informal podcast. The event starts in an hour. The more people we get on the better. If you just want to chat with text you may do that as well.
New Kirby trailer. We will probably get more media as the night goes on.
Kirby looks incredible, what kind of technology are they using, it can't be conventional 2D because the animation is so smooth, even Wario Land: Shake It wasn't so smooth, animated by an anime studio... There are all those effects like the surfaces curving with Kirby's weight, or raising when he's behind the fabric, or the stretching and folding of the scenery... And yet it can't be using extensive 3D either because it would look worse, it's the Wii... On HD systems some of this would be shaders but Wii doesn't have advanced shaders... I guess it's candy and fairy dust.
